Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting speech and language services within a local school district in Camp Lejeune, NC. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in childhood speech and hearing development, eager to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting.
Location: Camp Lejeune, NC (School-based)
Position Type: Contract (10-month term)
Assignment: Speech-Language Pathologist
Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings; administer formal and informal assessments to gather diagnostic information.
* Analyze assessment results to recommend appropriate speech-language services.
* Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans for individual students and groups.
* Collaborate and consult with classroom teachers and school personnel to support students communication needs.
* Maintain accurate records of speech-language programs and prepare necessary reports.
* Provide information and consultation to parents, teachers, and school staff regarding speech, language, and hearing programs.
* Coordinate services between the school and community resources to maximize student outcomes.
* Adjust intervention strategies in response to student progress.

Qualifications:

* Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
* Hold or be eligible for North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) licensure.
* Considerable knowledge of speech and hearing development and communication disorders.
* Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local laws regulating school speech-language services.
* Strong organizational skills for maintaining student records and reporting.
* Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
* Capacity to monitor student performance visually, auditorily, and physically.
* Must be able to facilitate student evacuation during emergencies and travel between multiple school sites.
