ABOUT THE ROLE

SoftLite Windows and Doors part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support equipment uptime and facility operations in our fast-paced vinyl windows and doors manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and learning industrial maintenance skills.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist with preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
  • Perform routine inspections on machinery and facility systems
  • Learn to read and understand simple blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and line adjustments
  • Support general facility maintenance, such as minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation
  • Follow all safety guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures


What YOU’LL NEED

  • Strong mechanical aptitude (automotive, DIY, farm, military, trade school, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

What You'll Do
As a Lead Technician, you are the backbone of our service department. You won't just be turning wrenches; you'll be solving complex problems and ensuring every vehicle leaves in showroom condition.

* Diagnose & Repair: Perform high-level diagnostics and repairs on European and Japanese brands (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, VW, Lexus, Land Rover, Jaguar, etc.).
* Factory Standards: Utilize factory VAS equipment and advanced diagnostic tools to meet dealership-level specs.
* Customer Excellence: Occasionally interface with clients to explain complex repairs with a professional, courteous demeanor.
* Shop Stewardship: Maintain the "LAW" standard of cleanliness, ensuring your workspace remains spotless between jobs.

What We're Looking For

* Experience: Prior automotive experience at a franchise dealership is highly preferred. Factory training is a significant plus.
* Technical Skill: Proficiency in alignments, advanced diagnostics, braking systems, and general mechanical repair for high-line vehicles.
* Professionalism: A clean driving record, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance.
* Pride of Work: You are someone who treats every car like it's your own and has an eagerness to master new European lines.

Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and reacting to detailed areas both behind the scenes and in Guests’ view in order to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Searching for trash, cigarette butts, debris, and graffiti to be removed
  • Sweeping park streets, walkways, and attraction areas with broom and collect rubbish with a dustpan
  • Utilizing a leaf blower to clear the midways of debris
  • Driving a sprayer truck to wash all park surfaces
  • Scrubbing problem areas in the midway
  • Hosing down back areas and patios when necessary
  • Wiping down all trash receptacles, table tops and counters
  • Assisting in other areas of the Park Services Department
  • Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:
  • Ability to complete tasks with little supervision and work independently
  • Valid driver’s license, with a clear driving record
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time with efficient use of time
  • Able to work shifts begin at 5am
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
