Project Manager - Concrete Floors

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, sequencing, directing, and executing all construction activities associated with large commercial and industrial concrete projects. This includes structural foundations, CIP elements, vertical work, slab systems, and project-wide coordination. The role ensures safe execution, technical compliance, production performance, and schedule integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including pour sequencing and multi-scope coordination.
• Oversee field operations and ensure all work meets engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate mobilizations, site logistics, equipment, and access requirements.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, slab details, reinforcing plans, and geotechnical information.
• Oversee concrete placement operations, mix design coordination, QC testing, curing methods, and tolerance requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and onsite crews while maintaining schedule and budget alignment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety plans, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Track production, labor, materials, rentals, and daily job performance.
• Lead coordination efforts with the GC, engineering teams, testing agencies, and suppliers.
• Manage punch lists, closeout documentation, and project turnover.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong knowledge of structural concrete, foundations, CIP columns, vertical work, slab systems, formwork, shoring, reshoring, and bracing.
• Understanding of high-tolerance slab finishing, sequencing, curing, and testing requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed construction documents and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software.
• Familiarity with safety standards, SWPPP requirements, and large-site logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 7 years of experience managing commercial or industrial concrete projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-scope, multi-phase operations.

Scaffolding Safety Inspector/ Competent Person

Job Overview

SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Safety Inspector/ Competent Person to support active construction projects on behalf of Turner Construction Company in Berkeley, California.

This role will provide independent, third-party safety oversight focused on post-erection scaffold assessments and recurring monthly compliance evaluations. The consultant will work closely with project leadership, trade partners, and scaffold contractors to verify structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and safe use throughout the scaffold lifecycle.

This is a project-based consulting opportunity ideal for safety professionals with strong scaffold competency and commercial construction experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial post-erection scaffold assessments following contractor certification.
• Conduct recurring monthly scaffold compliance inspections.
• Verify scaffold erection under competent person supervision.
• Inspect structural components, decking, bracing, and foundations.
• Evaluate guardrail systems and fall protection integration.
• Review access/egress systems including ladders and stair towers.
• Confirm tie-ins, stabilization, and load rating postings.
• Identify damage, modification, or unauthorized alterations.
• Assess housekeeping, material storage, and platform conditions.
• Document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Generate written inspection reports with photo documentation.
• Coordinate findings with GC and trade partner leadership.

Required Credentials & Qualifications:

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction (Required).
• Demonstrated Scaffold Competent Person experience.
• 5+ years construction safety experience.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L.
• Experience inspecting frame, system, and modular scaffolding.
• Ability to identify structural and fall protection deficiencies.
• Proficient in digital reporting and documentation.

Preferred / Value-Add Credentials:

• CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety certification.
• OSHA 510 / 500 Outreach Trainer.
• Cal/OSHA project experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, flow diagrams, P&ID's and construction blueprints

·      Will be working with low voltage

·      Install conduit and conduit bracing and fittings

·      Ensures that K2 Pure Solutions’ safety procedures are followed

·      Instrument calibration of equipment

·      Install tubing and perform instrument technician normal duties

COMPETENCIES

·      Must be familiar in instrumentation troubleshooting and repair techniques

·      Must be (or become) qualified to operate a man-lift, scissor lift, forklift and respirator fitted

·      PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 preferable)

·      Must be able to work in high places and work in confined spaces

·      Must be knowledgeable of Miro-Motion Mass Flow meters, Hi-Tech Analyzers, level and flow meter installation and maintenance monitoring

·      Good PC working skills

·      Familiar with MS Office suite including Excel and Word

Compensation - The starting base pay for this role is between $43.26 - $75.00 hr at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Commercial Construction Superintendent

Salary Range: $115,000 – $130,000

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
