As a Software Development Engineer, you will represent Embedded Quality in the Software organization. You will have a direct impact on the business, advancing the platform for both internal and external customers. You'll be exposed to a large variety of the foundational pieces of the Sonos system - music playback, device-to-device interaction, partner services, and much more. In addition, you'll be tasked with creating a development pipeline with quality at its core. You will be expected to understand the features being built and automate testing of those features. In addition, you will work with a team of industry-leading innovators across many different disciplines such as hardware, product management and user experience. What You'll Do

  • Develop and improve the team's automated CI/CD release pipeline, with quality as its foundation.

  • Develop automated tests for new software features, especially around partners and control API

  • Monitor, debug, and fix breakages within our automated pipeline.

  • Add and democratize new forms of data and metrics to allow the team to make decisions on where to focus and improve our tests.

  • Be an active participant and engaged part of your Scrum team - you are the voice of both quality and the customer during the development process.

  • Review requirements, behavior specifications, and design documents to begin test development early and uncover issues prior to implementation.

  • Investigate log, track, and triage bugs to determine root cause and establish prioritization.

  • Advocate Software Quality within Sonos

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 1-5 years of experience in automation, preferably with embedded systems

  • Demonstrated proficiency writing code for automation with one or more of the following: Python, Javascript, C/C++

  • Experience with version control such as Git, Perforce, etc

  • Knowledge on data instrumentation and telemetry for Software Quality

The base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:

$88,000 and $109,800

What You'll Do

  • Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business and technology reviews, RFQs, and roadmap/strategy discussions.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing sales rep to join our event team! As a 1099 Event Sales Representative, you will be responsible for setting up and working the Marc Pro booth at local youth sporting events. Our growing event team is focused on creating brand awareness, engagement, and product sales within the youth sports community. The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent communication skills, a desire to sell the product, and an athletic background (athlete, coach, or trainer). This is an independent contractor (1099) position on an as-needed basis. Hours and working days vary for this position. Events typically take place over the weekend and range from 1-3 days. You will be working on average, 6-15 events per year depending on schedule and partnerships. You’ll review our event schedule with the Event Manager to determine which ones you are available to work. In addition to the set schedule, other events may be added throughout the year that you may choose to work. This role is flexible, without any minimum or maximum time commitment for the number of events worked.

The Job

- Booth setup: Transport booth materials to the event site and set up tent and other event materials. Booth materials include easy up tent, zero gravity chairs, table, tablecloth, brochures, and Marc Pro products.

- Product demos: Encourage and set athletes up with free product demos.

- Customer engagement: Answer questions and share product benefits with athletes and their parents who stop by the booth. Engage with attendees outside the booth when necessary.

- Sales: Encourage purchases of Marc Pro devices and accessories. Job evaluation is based on sales per event.

- Post event evaluation: Debrief events with Event Manager


The Requirements

· Must live in Houston, TX area

The laborer's responsibility ranges from digging postholes manually, to using power equipment to process materials such as cutting pressure treated wood post or steel chain link posts.   • Must be able to perform general labor duties on a job site as indicated by the employer.
  • Must have the ability to work in an outdoor environment, under timelines, and work with a team as well as alone.

    • Stand for up to 8 -10 hours
