Construction Manager (Mechanical)

Position Summary
Seeking motivated Project Managers/Construction Managers (PM/CM) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to join our team at a VA Hospital in Biloxi, Mississippi. Candidates will act as Design and Construction Managers reporting to a Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, generate reports, as a representative for the client on major healthcare construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
The Construction Manager will be a part of a team of professionals and act as the Owner's Representative role on these programs from design through construction and closeout. The Construction Manager will be required to learn and integrate our companyβs best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality and operations in the healthcare environment. The Construction Manager will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The Construction Management services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.
- Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trends
- Review construction schedules and support progress and performance evaluations
- Participate in progress meetings and support issue identification and resolution
- Review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for compliance
- Support claims administration, change management, and contract modifications
- Review contractor work documentation and reported progress for conformance with construction documents and approved schedules

Education & Experience
Education
- Bachelorβs degree of Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction management, or a closely related field
- Experience supporting regulated environments (federal, healthcare, or institutional) is highly desirable
- Candidates may be asked to provide examples or documentation of completed projects demonstrating relevant experience
- Requirements of local state and federal jurisdiction in relation to the Project.
- Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and drawings to readily understand and assess requirements.
- Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes budgeting and scheduling to lead the projectβs success.

Positioned for growth, the company is well-equipped to leverage upcoming opportunities. This is a full-time on-site role located in Woburn, MA.
The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations for both corporate and satellite offices in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role requires strong financial discipline and real-time financial insights. They will take full ownership of the accounting function, managing a team of four, and will be responsible for the accuracy and speed of the monthly close, job cost tracking, and process leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise, develop, and hold accountable three team members:
- Contract Billing Specialist (AIA billing, change orders, retainage)
- Accounts Receivable & General Accounting

- Lead the monthly close process to a consistent 10-business-day (or better) close
- Own full-cycle monthly financial statement preparation, including detailed period-over-period flux analysis with explanations for ownership and project teams

- Ensure accurate job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, over/under billing analysis, and job profitability forecasting

- Oversee A/R aging, collections, lien waiver tracking, and cash application
- Partner with the sales leadership team to track sales, generate commission reports and appropriately accrue commissions/bonuses on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Produce timely and accurate monthly job profitability reports and executive financial packages
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver real-time financial insights on project performance and support project teams with financial data for bids, contracts, and change orders.
- Strengthen and develop internal controls, document policy and procedures, enforcement of controls will full support of executive leadership
- Drive projects forward that benefit the organization through streamlining process/automation/continuous improvement
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis (which will initially be primarily led by VP Finance
- Support external audits, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax and prevailing wage requirements.

The Role
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) owns and facilitates tasks as outlined by the Project Manager or Project Executive, within the projects assigned.
Assistant Project Managers provide support and communication for successful project completion. APMβs provide a focus on the day-to-day details of these projects, including relaying correspondence between field and office (both internally and externally), ordering equipment, and managing project documentation. Position Overview

Position Overview:
Oversee construction of direct development of various product types including multifamily, industrial, science and tech, office and alternatives (retail, hotel, etc). In addition, this role will also have the responsibility of overseeing the construction of JV development projects. The Project Manager (Municipal) partners directly with municipalities across Upstate New York and Vermont to deliver high-quality construction solutions that meet community infrastructure needs. This role manages projects from initial client engagement and estimating through planning, execution, and final delivery.

PSC Crane & Rigging is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own complex industrial projects from planning through closeout. What Youβll Do:
Lead Safety & Site Culture
- Champion safety and ensure compliance with PSC standards and regulatory requirements
- Support pre-job hazard assessments and planning with estimating and operations
- Model a positive, professional site culture for PSC crews, subs, and clients
Plan & Execute Projects
- Own the project plan from award through closeout (scope, schedule, risk, resources)
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractors with Operations/Dispatch
- Anticipate issues and build contingencies for schedule, budget, and technical risks
Manage Cost, Schedule & Documentation
- Maintain and update project schedules, aligned with client schedules
- Oversee project controls: RFIs, change orders, POs, subcontracts, rentals, vendors
- Monitor and forecast costs, margins, and deadlines; review and approve expenses
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and closeout materials are accurate and timely
Drive Client Communication & Relationships
- Serve as primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Set clear expectations for progress updates, reporting, and site meetings/walk-throughs
- Address concerns proactively and build long-term, repeat relationships
Coordinate Internally Across PSC
- Partner with Estimating and Contracts on scope, proposals, and client contracts
- Collaborate with Finance on billing, budget tracking, and forecasting
- Keep senior management updated on project status, risks, and opportunities

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Vice President of Construction & Facilities Management, the Senior Project Manager will support the Acquisition and Rehabilitation team on active rehabilitation projects in the affordable multifamily housing space.
What You Can Expect To Do
- Front-end Due Diligence, including analyzing and understanding property condition reports, environmental, and other specialty sub-consultants.
- Assist with developing detailed scope, budget, schedule, and logistics plans; manage execution of referenced plans during active construction phases.
- Produce accurate reporting of construction progress, active or anticipated issues, and budgetary compliance for distribution to teammates and senior leadership.
- Identify and qualify deferred maintenance, building deficiencies and necessary capital improvements based on prior professional experience and vendor site assessments.
- Propose solutions to solve building deficiencies and satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Work alongside the Design Team, Vendors, and Contractors.
- Participating in the development of architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
- Utilizing general understanding of permitting approvals by local jurisdictions as it relates to the project schedule, and satisfaction of all code and regulatory requirements of stakeholders, including Housing Authorities, lenders, and HUD.
- Coordinate contractor access, logistic items, utility shutdowns, and notices with our Operations and Property Management staff.
- Conduct frequent on-site physical inspections of active construction projects.
- Oversee quality control of construction tasks, perform pre- and post-construction acceptance reviews.
- Escort design team, lenders, and other project stakeholders through construction sites to perform status reviews and draw meetings.
- Ensure safety guidelines for contractors and residents are followed on all job sites.
What You Should Have
- Bachelorβs degree, preferably in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Hands-on experience with occupied apartment renovation projects.
- Experience with hotel renovations or conversions is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with multifamily experience, is required.
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating between ownership, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve issues, maintain compliance, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness.
- Direct experience creating and providing oversight of project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
- Experience with large commercial LIHTC multi-family rehabs is a plus, but not a hard requirement.

Responsibilities of the Construction Supervisor:
Β· The primary point of contact on the jobsite, responsible for all subcontractors from the first shovel to the client move-in.
Β· Coordinating surveys, excavation, site utilities, foundation, cranes, rigging, carpentry, and final finishes.
Β· Lead and train carpenters, providing daily work lists and guidance to ensure quality and productivity.
Β· Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
Β· Clear communication with all stakeholders, including clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and neighbors.
Β· Maintain a detailed daily log with photos and notes to ensure clear communication and a complete project record.
Β· Partner with the Project Manager to maintain a four-week lookahead schedule for materials, labor, and logistics.
Β· Maintain quality control on the job site at all times.
Β· Identify potential project risks and support closeout activities, including punch lists and warranty documentation.
Β· As the license holder, you will be asked to apply for permits and coordinate, prepare for, and manage all site inspections with municipalities.
Β· Work closely with product, engineering, and operations to integrate project requirements into modular building systems.
Β· Provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM) and installation processes.
Β· Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
Β· Contribute to developing new internal processes, playbooks, documentation, and best practices.
Β· Be willing to roll up your sleeves, jumping into detailed coordination, problem-solving on the floor, and supporting hands-on tasks when needed.
