Build Your Career in Industrial Refrigeration
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting the design, fabrication, and installation of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. This is an opportunity to work on real-world systems used in food processing, cold storage, and industrial facilities—while learning directly from a highly experienced team. Whether you already have ammonia refrigeration experience or come from a strong mechanical background, we provide hands-on training and mentorship to help you grow into an expert in this specialized field.
This role includes a mix of office work, shop interaction, and occasional field/site visits. You’ll be involved in projects from concept through commissioning.

$85,000 - $125,000 DOE
Responsibilities:- Design and develop industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
- Perform load calculations, system sizing, and efficiency analysis
- Select and specify equipment such as compressors, vessels, evaporators, and condensers
- Create P&IDs, piping layouts, and Bills of Materials
- Work closely with fabrication, operations, and field teams
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of systems
- Troubleshoot performance issues and improve system reliability
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations (IIAR, PSM, RMP)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical systems or refrigeration
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus, but not required
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and P&IDs
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems
- Familiarity with IIAR standards, OSHA PSM, or EPA RMP
- RETA certifications (CARO/CIRO)
- Knowledge of PLCs or industrial controls

Responsibilities:- Produce and create finalized metal goods.
- Set up and fix a variety of machinery and parts.
- Adhere to the blueprints in order to fulfill the product specifications.
- Determine material dimensions to confirm requirements.
- Arrange the necessary parts for welding in accordance with the provided specifications, such as using powered saws to cut materials to the required measurements.
- Perform examinations to assess the quality and tolerance of welds.
- Ensure that the equipment is kept in a state that does not jeopardize safety.
- This position is safety sensitive.
- Prior experience in welding, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Crew lead experience is highly preferred.
- Must be available to travel and able to work weekends when needed to meet customer standards.
- Strong knowledge in welding equipment and techniques.
- Strong capabilities in interpreting engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent understanding of various types of metal and their respective properties.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and readiness to utilize personal protective equipment.
- Must have a class E driver's license for use of company vehicles.
- Ability to work in a high-demand industry.

- Adhere to the blueprints to fulfill the product specifications
- Determine material dimensions to confirm requirements
- Inspect and examine parts to ensure they meet the quality standards and expectations
- Willingness to back up positions, such as painting for vacations and sick days
- Ensure that equipment and tools are used and kept in good working order, for longevity of tool life and safety purposes
- Ensure that the workspace is kept clean and organized for safety purposes
- This position is safety sensitive
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or a related field - especially structural fitting
- Experience with Hydraulic metal Shears, Plate Rollers, Hydraulic metal Brakes, Manual Metal Brakes, Proficient with angle grinders (electric and pneumatic)
- Strong capabilities in interpreting engineering blueprints and drawings
- Excellent understanding of various types of metal and their respective properties
- OSHA 10 will be required within 60 days of employment
- Familiarity with Safety regulations and readiness to utilize personal protective Equipment (PPE)
- Experience with painting is a plus
