Guidance Counselor Position Overview
The Guidance Counselor will serve as a mission-aligned guide for students and families, helping them discern and prepare for post–high school pathways—college, trade, ministry, or other callings—in a manner consistent with Mount Academy’s Christian vision. This is not simply about securing admissions to prestigious institutions; it is about fostering discernment, developing vocational clarity, and equipping students to engage with the world as faithful, capable Christians. The counselor will be equally committed to serving Bruderhof and non-Bruderhof students with the same standards of care, formation, and counsel. The counselor will bring both technical expertise in admissions and financial aid, and relational wisdom and pastoral sensitivity. He or she will work closely with the current Director of Guidance in year one, assuming full leadership of the guidance function in year two.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Responsibilities
- Develop Comprehensive Guidance Program: Build a four-year framework integrating academic planning, vocational exploration, discernment, and Christian formation beginning in 9th grade.
- Support All Pathways: Provide individualized counsel for students pursuing college, trades, ministry, or other callings, ensuring every graduate has a clear and mission-aligned plan.
- Elevate College Admissions Support: Guide students through applications, essays, recommendations, interviews, and help families discern offers through both financial and spiritual lenses.
- Serve Bruderhof and Non-Bruderhof Students Equally: Navigate unique tax, financial aid, and cultural considerations while offering excellent pastoral and academic counsel to all.
- Transition Leadership: Year one—work under current Director of Guidance to learn systems and relationships. Year two—assume full leadership of the guidance program.
- Build Sustainable Systems: Evaluate and implement tools and platforms, develop templates and checklists, and streamline communication processes.
- Collaborate with Faculty: Coordinate with teachers for student mentoring and early pathway identification.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in extracurricular activities, coaching, or other areas of school life to contribute to the broader community.

Reporting to the Director of College & Career Persistence, the College & Career (CP) Counselor serves as a member of the College & Career Persistence Team. The CP Counselor accompanies a caseload of alumni on their unique paths to meaningful employment by supporting them in their Transition to High School, Transition to Post-Secondary, Transition to Career, and connection to Summer Programming. A successful candidate will believe in the long-term care of students and an education that forms the whole person — cura personalis in the Jesuit tradition.
Essential functions:
- Actively support a caseload of 60 14- to 24-year old students and alumni as they chart their unique paths to meaningful employment using a curated suite of resources targeted at each transition in addition to creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with students, alumni, and families through consistent, persistent, and creative outreach to 100% of caseload within a 6-week cycle.
- Conduct individual and group parent meetings to prepare 8th-grade students and families for the Transition to High School by equipping them with the tools to apply and enroll in best-fit high schools, including scholarship opportunities.
- Visit high school students and support their transition by setting SMART goals, reviewing academic progress, identifying areas of support, and connecting them to school-based resources, extra-curricular activities and summer programming.
- Support high school students in their transition to post-secondary programs by working with them to identify, apply, enroll, and persist in quality, affordable, and supportive four-year, two-year and certificate programs..
- Prepare alumni in their transition to career through workforce readiness skills, resume support, interview preparation, and connections to internships and employment partnerships.
- Provide constructive and critical feedback to all students and alumni using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.
- Assist in executing workshops and community events as it relates to each line of business.
- Problem-solve and support in crisis management by coordinating services and removing barriers.
- Update all data and case notes while maintaining the confidentiality of alumni in Salesforce.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner high schools and summer camps.
- Execute other duties as assigned. This position occasionally requires non-traditional work hours to run evening or weekend events and respond to alumni needs as they arise.

- Have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in education, social work or non-profit including direct work with youth from disinvested communities.

Position description
The Department of Earth & Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers and lecturers in lieu of GSI's to teach Earth and Planetary Science courses should an opening arise. Department policy requires instructors to create and maintain a bcourses site.
Instructors of Record duties include teaching, holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g. syllabus), developing exams and/or quizzes, supervising GSIs, scheduling field trips, participating in field trips, maintaining a course budget, and maintaining a course website.

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California invites applications for a pool of qualified non-tenure track lecturers to teach a range of mathematics courses.

A reasonable estimate for Lecturer positions is an annual salary range of $70,977 - $117,315. The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. See the following table(s) for the current salary scale(s) for this position:
Percent time:
17% -83% (one - five courses) over the academic year. . Most academic-year appointments are assigned at 37% per course per semester which equates to total pay per course of $13,130 -$21,703. Summer Sessions courses are typically 11% per course which equates to total pay per course of $7,807 -$12,904. Please note, currently, we are not recruiting for any full-time positions. It is unlikely we will hire a candidate for more than one class in the regular academic year, and more than two classes in the summer.

We are seeking a motivated, high-capacity Class A CDL Driver for local sand hauling operations. This position is designed for a "pro-miler" who thrives on a 70-hour work week and early morning starts. You will be responsible for transporting sand from local pits to various construction sites and plants, ensuring timely deliveries and safe operation.
Compensation & Schedule
* Pay Structure: 25% of the gross haul rate per load (High earning potential for efficient drivers).
* Shift Start: 4:00 AM daily.
* Work Volume: Consistent 70-hour work week (Requires 6 days/Saturday availability).
* Home Life: Local routes only; home every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Load Maximization: Safely operate a Class A tractor with an end dump trailer, ensuring legal weight limits are met to maximize load percentage.
* Navigation & Timing: Efficiently navigate local routes to beat traffic and minimize "deadhead" time between the pit and the drop site.
* Equipment Care: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, specifically monitoring hydraulic systems, tailgate seals, and liner integrity.
* Safety Compliance: Maintain a digital or manual logbook in strict accordance with DOT 70-hour/8-day regulations.
* Site Coordination: Communicate effectively with loaders and site foremen to ensure quick turnaround times.
Qualifications
* License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of Class A experience (End dump or aggregate experience preferred).
* Endorsements: Tanker endorsement is a plus but not required.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to handle 11-12 hour shifts and early morning starts.
