This is a highly responsible position that supports the health, safety and welfare of Tribal members and the public. The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing the regulation and inspection of building construction, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations and directing compliance and enforcement of all related federal, state and local ordinances of the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF). Work involves technical review of all types of construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances. - Perform on-site inspections and field reviews during construction to verify correct installation of building enclosure systems.
- Conduct field investigations, including moisture intrusion and performance testing.
- Prepare detailed site visit reports documenting observations, field-testing results, and recommendations for deficiency items.
- Collaborate with senior staff, architects, contractors, and owners on building enclosure design, materials selection, and project progress.
- Review architectural plans, construction documents, and shop drawings for conformance with project intent and building science principles.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience, knowledge of commercial roofing or exterior building enclosures, the ability to perform on-site field work, and effective communication skills. A degree in a related field and relevant professional certifications are desirable.
