Postdoctoral Fellow

We are looking for a new postdoctoral fellow to join our interdisciplinary, translational research team. The Zeglis Laboratory focuses on the design, synthesis, preclinical validation, and clinical translation of novel radiopharmaceuticals for the imaging and therapy of disease. We are particularly interested in work at the intersection of molecular imaging and bioorthogonal chemistry, and much of work is performed in collaboration with colleagues at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical College, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Rockefeller University.

Generally speaking, the research in the Zeglis Lab can be broken down into five areas: (1) the synthesis and validation of novel radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy; (2) the creation of new methodologies for site-specific bioconjugation; (3) the development of new approaches to in vivo pretargeting; (4) the creation of new radiotheranostic paradigms for rare and pediatric cancers; and (5) the use of nuclear imaging to improve the diagnosis and management of understudied pathologies such as Lyme disease and endometriosis. For this position, previous experience in radiochemistry is important, and a background in synthetic chemistry is preferred. Finally, the applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
