Responsibilities :

Recreation
Recreation Cast Members rotate through various roles, including Lifeguard, Children's Activities, and Recreation Rentals. Some of your responsibilities will include supervising the safety of our Guests as they swim, providing emergency medical attention as a first responder, shallow water life guarding, facilitating Guest activities and programs (including arts & crafts, games, and campfire songs), selling programs, renting equipment, and providing Guest information. Appropriate certification is required for the lifeguard and first responder role, which is provided by the resort.

Food and Beverage
The environment is friendly but fast paced. On any given day you might take guest orders, operate the point-of-sale system (cash register), handle cash, fulfill orders, prep food, stock items, keep inventory, and of course keep the front and back of the house up to Disney’s famous cleanliness standards. On top of that, you would be fully trained on knowledge of the resort so you can answer guests’ questions, share information, and provide the “Disney difference” that brings people to the Hilton Head Island Resort!

Custodial
Custodial Cast Members have the opportunity to work in a variety of locations, both indoors and outdoors, but always in the “common” areas – in other words, everywhere except the guest rooms. Your responsibilities include cleaning tables, emptying trashcans, sweep/mop floors, and more. Along with custodial responsibilities, Custodial Cast Members will be fully trained to answer questions about Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and will be expected to be the “friendly face” that makes a guest’s stay with us so memorable. It takes a special kind of person to do this well, so along with mastering custodial skills, having a friendly demeanor, a positive attitude and the sincere desire to be helpful is a key part of the job.

Houseperson
For many of our guests, staying at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is a dream come true. Our Housepersons bring those dreams to life by creating special memories and a home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day. The Opportunity

The IT4IT manager will lead a dynamic technical team within the organization, focusing on aligning global IT strategies with the region objectives. The role involves resource management, strategic workforce planning, budget management, and fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. You will coordinate an interdisciplinary technical crew, enabling autonomy and ensuring adoption of enterprise-wide standards.

The mission focuses on people and organizational leadership. It supports managers, team leaders, and delivery leaders to reach the optimal performance on activities within the scope and aligned with the IT strategy.

You must possess a deep technical foundation to effectively motivate, aid, and lead the team. The manager is not expected to deliver technical solutions, but must be able to understand architecture, assess impacts, and maintain credibility with technical partners.

This position is based at our headquarters in Greenville, SC, conveniently located within driving distance to east coast beaches, the Blue Ridge Mountains and large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. What will you do

Lead and inspire a multi-functional technical team, fostering trust, productivity, and collaboration.

Ensure alignment between global IT4IT strategies and regional execution.

Oversee staffing, budgeting, and planning workforce needs strategically; optimize team structure and skills.

Use technical literacy to challenge, support, and guide the team.

Track and report on team performance using Accelerate and Agile metrics.

Communicate strategy and vision, foster teamwork, and provide updates to management.

Promote accountability, information exchange, and continuous improvement in DevOps and SRE practices.

What will you bring

BS degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering. An MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

At minimum of 7 yrs overall experience in the IT field

Validated experience in IT team leadership, preferably in a global or regional context.

Proven background in custom software development and cloud-based solutions - Azure or AWS a must.

High level technical foundation (architecture, DevOps, SRE, cloud, integration).

We seek an individual who has led teams and successfully delivered in the following areas:

  • Expertise in system integration, data management, and business intelligence tools.
  • Superb communication skills with various levels of the organization, including C-Suite.
  • Ability to align local execution with global strategies and standards.
  • Comprehensive experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) is required.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT platforms and tools using AI (Jira, GitLab, Github)

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
* Must be able to set up and run all machine shop equipment, including manual and CNC, such as lathes, mills, grinders and all other equipment associated with the production of precision parts.

Knowledge of all measuring equipment and techniques along with a strong understanding of math used in the machining field to include algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
* Sound understanding of tolerances including geometric tolerancing.
* Able to perform under pressure when required due to breakdown of equipment
* Optimized Cost during the process of producing parts.(minimum scrap and waste).

Required experience:

  • 3-5 years in a manual machining environment or 2 year AS Degree in Machine Tool Technology or Machining training and skills acquired while serving in the Military
