Simmons and Hanbury are partnering with a leading international Hedge Fund in their search for a Legal Assistant to join their impressive legal team to support funds and investor activities.

This role will manage a range of legal workflows, working throughout the business on the support of client and investor initiatives.

Responsibilities will include: Supporting investor and fund operations such as transfers, redemptions and subscriptions.

Assisting with Fund Board materials.

Working across multiple jurisdictions with stakeholders to ensure legal matters and prioritised efficiently.

Supporting distribution and marketing such as NDA's, drafting distribution agreements etc.

Coordinating workflow, agendas and materials for Legal and Investor Relations teams.
Qualifications1-2 years experience as a legal assistant or paralegal with experience across funds and asset management Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Simmons and Hanbury are partnering with a global trading firm in Chicago who are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team and lead the legal function of an impressive international business. This position provides a lot of potential for growth and development as Legal lead of a successful trading firm.

Legal Counsel will have oversight over commercial, governance, HR, Employment, Litigation and policy as well as regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior management and cross functionally throughout the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing counsel on legal risks tied to new markets, products and technologies.
  • Lead negotiations and managing agreements with traders, vendors and market participants.
  • Track and evaluate regulatory changes.
  • Assisting with corporate deals and tracking and evaluating regulatory changes
  • Working with closely with HR.
  • Managing litigation cases.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as an attorney in a trading firm, law firm or in-house business with knowledge of US and international regulators (SEC, CFTC, NFA, FINRA). Please reach out at for more information.
