Job Overview: The rewind operator is responsible for the operation of an inspection machine/slitter and/or rewind tabletop machine, assuring quality labels are sent to the customer.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Read job ticket carefully before setting up and running machine.
• Input job order information into the computer; set specifications on the machine (measurement accuracy and attention to detail required).
• Attach slitting blades to machine when necessary.
• Inspect and remove all defects, properly re-splice the roll, stamp each role.
• Lift order onto the machine.
• View labels with assistance of strobe light.
• Comply with quality assurance specifications of the customer and Macaran, including but not limited to handling procedures, paperwork requirements, and operation of the quality inspection machine.
• Complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation.
• Responsible for following processes and procedures.
• Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace; light maintenance of machinery and slitting blades may also be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Lifting to fifty pounds is required.
• A good eye for color and attention to detail is required.
• 3+ years of label rewind machine operation preferred.
• Prior experience running Rotoflex HSI Series machines or other comparable machines preferred.
• Ability to decipher colors.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
