We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Principal Software Engineer to be an active participant in the software development team for Electronic Warfare (EW) projects, working with cutting edge technologies in products that protect our warfighters.  

What You Will Do:

• Technical leadership and participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Responsibilities include inventions and innovations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design, through integration, lab test and field test.
• Collaborating effectively with other disciplines and senior technical staff, in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
• Developing software requirements and FPGA level interface requirements derived from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, performing simulations and analysis and testing of the software in a laboratory setting.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers. Think out-of-the box to root-cause issues and develop creative resolutions.
• Handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment including engagement with Systems' and Electrical Engineers
• This position will require occasional business-related travel.  

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in software design, development, integration and test utilizing C / C++.
• Experience with embedded microprocessors, system on a chip software design, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analyses or signal generation.
• Experience developing real-time applications on embedded platforms, including bare metal (no-OS), embedded Linux, or Windows environments.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic facilities using specialized equipment.
• Conduct cable fault acceptance tests, locate defective fiber, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Update GIS, maps, and as-builts; set and label infrastructure like peds, vaults, and handholes.
• Restore worksites to original condition upon project completion.
• Train and mentor team members as needed and maintain construction equipment.
• Provide support to field service technicians and complete required documentation promptly.

Required Qualifications

Our Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. The Software Engineer II position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced STEM degree.
• Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience developing and debugging software written in an object-oriented language OR an advanced STEM degree where software projects were included in the curriculum
• Experience using Visual Studio as a development environment and as a troubleshooting tool
• Experience deploying executable objects to a Windows OS
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience developing Production Test Equipment in an Automation environment
• Introduction or experience with computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
• Working knowledge of the development of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces
• Introduction or experience in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS-422
• Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters)
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design
• Professional experience of software development lifecycles, such as Waterfall and Agile
• Experience with Software Configuration Management principles
• Working understanding of the TEE One Page Process.
• Self-starter and able to manage workload to meet assigned deadlines
• Introduction or experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub
• Written and interpersonal communication skills
