Private Client / Estate Planning Paralegal
Job Description
A well-regarded law firm in Chicago is seeking a Paralegal to support its growing Private Client / Trusts & Estates practice. This is a great opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated estate planning matters for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
- Assist with trust and estate administration, including probate filings and asset transfers
- Coordinate execution of documents and maintain organized client files
- Communicate with clients, financial advisors, and third parties to gather information and facilitate planning
- Support attorneys with client meetings, follow-ups, and ongoing plan updates
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in trusts & estates, estate planning, or private client work
- Strong understanding of estate planning documents and administration processes
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
