Position description
The Institute for Business and Social Impact at UC Berkeley seeks to hire a postdoctoral scholar who applies pioneering, rigorous empirical analysis to policy-relevant questions in applied economics, development, mental health, labor, or closely related fields.
We are especially interested in candidates whose work combines empirical causal inference, administrative or large-scale data, and topics related to development, labor markets, mental health (broadly defined, e.g., measurement, interventions, behavioral mechanisms, digital or light-touch mental health tools), or behavioral economics. We welcome applicants with strong foundations in empirical methods in economics and/or experience designing, implementing, or overseeing large-scale randomized controlled trials.
The ideal postdoctoral scholar will have demonstrated excellence in using modern empirical methods-including econometrics, experimental and quasi-experimental techniques, and/or machine learning approaches for prediction and causal inference-to study policy-relevant questions in development, labor, mental health, or related fields. We seek a postdoctoral scholar who bridges applied microeconomics with behavioral and mental-health insights, using empirical and machine-learning tools to study social and economic policy.
Duties of Position:
The position offers direct engagement in new and exciting research opportunities and personal mentorship from faculty and researchers on the team. The postdoctoral scholar will gain an expanded network of collaborators and become a member of the UC Berkeley research community by actively participating in seminar series and internal workshops to present and receive feedback on their work.
The postdoctoral scholar will be expected to join and develop a research agenda in collaboration with their supervisor and Faculty Director, Paul Gertler, along with Laura Chioda, IBSI's Chief Data Scientist, and IBSI's network of researchers.

The O'Donnell Center for Behavioral Economics and Finance, housed jointly in the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics, seeks applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar-Employee, with expertise in behavioral economics or behavioral finance, and strong econometric or theory training.
The Postdoctoral Scholar will be part of Berkeley's O'Donnell Center for Behavioral Economics and Finance, housed jointly in the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics. The center's mission is to support rigorous academic research in various areas of behavioral economics, including all areas of applied microeconomics, financial economics, macro-finance, political economy, public economics, and health economics. We also pursue research in collaboration with researchers in neuroscience, cognitive science, and medicine. Ulrike Malmendier and Stefano Della Vigna, both joint faculty members at the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics, co-direct the center. Faculty from the departments of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Economics, the Haas Business School, the School of Public Health, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the Information School are affiliated with the initiative. Ulrike Malmendier will be the primary faculty lead.
Duties of Position:
The position offers direct engagement in new and exciting research opportunities and personal mentorship from faculty and other researchers on the team. Scholars will gain an expanded network of collaborators and become members of the UC Berkeley research community by actively participating in seminar series and taking advantage of various internal workshops to present and receive feedback on their work. -household decision-making: household finance, health choices, consumption

-neuroscience foundations of modern models of belief formation and economic/financial decision-making mental health, trauma.

You will join the Studio team and will oversee the creation and delivery of high-caliber and high-volume campaign brand assets across stills and video. You will own assigned post-production projects from kickoff through final delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. You will lead coordination of creative and technical direction across post-production campaigns, proactively removing obstacles and mitigating post-production and readiness-related risks across capacity, timeline, and delivery. This role partners closely with creative and production teams to develop project estimates, determine schedules, manage budgets, and maintain clear communication throughout the pipeline. You will collaborate closely with internal post-production leadership, including the Senior Video Manager, Retouching Manager, Creative Producers, and cross-functional studio stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing post-production environment, with strong post-production workflow and project management expertise
- End-to-end understanding of the production lifecycle (pre‑production through final delivery) across stills and video assets
- Proven ability to manage post-production budgets, schedules, scope, and quality across multiple concurrent projects
- Strong technical and creative judgment, with a sharp eye for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle imagery aligned to company brand standards
- Clear, consistent communicator experienced in aligning internal teams, freelance talent, and agency partners on schedules, budgets, and delivery impacts
- Technically savvy and experience with various tools such as Frame IO, Airtable, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Figma, Capture One, etc.
Shipping and Receiving responsibilities: Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
