POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education / Training:
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology and subsequent Accreditation through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must be in compliance with CE Requirements.
Must be registered in the subspecialty of CT or be registry eligible and pass CT registry within 6 months of hire date.
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Workplace Experience:
Preference of one year work experience in hospital environment working in CT after graduation and accreditation; however, we are willing to train.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Possesses knowledge of CT scanning and preferably have experience working with GE CT equipment. Will train on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Health.

Physical Environment:
Radiation safety and universal precautions practiced in a multi modality imaging department.

Physical Effort:
Possesses the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include: physically manipulate and operate. Equipment; assist in the movement of patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to table; bend, twist, stoop; lift 20 pounds; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; make appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations; and demonstrate emotional stability and psychological health in day to day interaction with fellow workers, patients, their families, and physicians. Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required

Experience

  • 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred
  • Basic computer experience required

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • Requires one of the following within 1 year of hire:
    • Sonography (S) by ARRT
    • Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS
    • Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS
  • Prefers one of the following, along with the required:
    • Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
    • Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT
    • Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS
    • Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS
  • State Licensure is required if in New Mexico
    • DMS by MIRTP NMED
  • BLS required

In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
