Job Overview:

The Technical Program Manager III will oversee the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex audio hardware programs. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and management of interdependencies across multiple projects and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware product development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver audio hardware programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, budget, and risk factors.
  • Engage in program-level strategic planning, interaction with engineering teams and management, and complex issue resolution.
  • Oversee project scope definition, requirements gathering, schedule development, budget management, and status reporting.
  • Manage hardware builds, issue and risk management, contingency planning, and customer interactions.
  • Plan and drive engineering deliverables, including audio subsystem specifications, DOEs, ECNs, and validation results.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in project estimating, scheduling, tracking, and customer interaction in large organizations.
  • Proven people management and team-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt and exercise judgment in a changing environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong risk assessment and management skills for technology applications/products and business functions.
  • Experience with hardware product development lifecycle and working with vendors, including flexibility for travel and on-site support.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an audio Technical Program Manager or Engineer with consumer products such as phones, tablets, watches, or glasses.
  • PMP or PMI certification preferred.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineer (Level 3) to join the Phantom Works Systems Engineering and Integration Team in Berkeley, MO.

This position will focus on a program developing space related command and control software. The selected candidate will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the division to develop complex and highly integrated weapons systems while embracing the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering strategy.

The selected individual will support system architects, engineering SMEs, and other stakeholders in implementing, developing and managing the systems engineering lifecycle for their program, in coordination with the System Engineering team and program leadership. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role. Position Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of deliveries and customer reviews
  • Support the program in implementing MBSE as part of digital engineering to meet customer expectations
  • Support Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, configuration and change management, environments analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration and capture them in the MBSE model as appropriate

What This Role Owns


The Director of Manufacturing Excellence owns the manufacturing system, not production headcount.


This role builds and enforces a system that defines what is physically possible, so operations can execute without heroics.

  • Process definition and standard work
  • Routing accuracy and sequence definition
  • Capacity truth across fabrication, welding, finishing, and assembly

  • Training system architecture (AMTX U)
  • Maintenance planning & reliability (PM discipline, uptime protection)

This role does not manage production supervisors or run shifts.


It exists to make execution predictable.
