The Monarch Transit Driver is responsible for driving the campus shuttles on all regularly scheduled routes, special event routes, and supplementing the SafeRide driving staff. Our OTR Drivers are responsible for transporting goods from Ottumwa IA to Englewood, CO as well as picking up raw materials from designated vendor sites within the state.

Professionalism, communication, and teamwork are key as you'll regularly interact with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and other drivers to ensure timely and accurate pickups and deliveries. Hands-on experience and a solid safety record are essential - we're looking for skilled professionals with at least five (2) years of CDL-A driving experience.

Shift and Schedule

  • Generally Sunday thru Thrusday
  • 3100 Miles per week.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

About You

We're looking for a dependable, experienced, and safety-focused professional who takes pride in their work and operates with integrity on and off the road. You prefer the open highway to crowded city routes and value a consistent schedule and stable work environment.

While this role doesn't involve direct customer interaction, you understand that professionalism matters - whether you're communicating with dispatch, coordinating with warehouse teams, or representing KDP on the road. You're the type of driver who maintains your equipment, follows DOT regulations closely, and contributes to a positive, team-oriented culture.

Total Rewards:
  • $0.53 per mile
  • $6.02 for Drop and Hook
  • $22.80 per hour for downtime
  • Role is eligible for per diem

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License A (CDL A)
  • 2 year of commercial driving experience
  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
  • Sleeper Experience is a plus
