Job Summary

Perform basic installation and maintenance of components used in campus heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment including chilled water, refrigeration, air compressor, gas heater, air drier, fume hoods, and pumps. Assignments typically require HVAC journeyman level skills. This position will interact with on a consistent basis with: maintenance supervision and staff, building managers and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: maintenance workers. This position will supervise: NA



Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Install, repair, replace, operate, maintain, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing component used in HVAC.

Job Duty 2 -
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.

Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and digital controls.

Job Duty 4 -
May require purchase and accounting for HVAC related parts and materials.

This job requires journeyman level knowledge and skills for installing and maintaining compressors, fans, bearings, belts, dampers, motors, starters, controls, 208, 200, and 460 service, 24 volt-DC service, coils and piping. Position requires the ability to read prints, drawings, and schematics via paper copies and computerized software systems. In addition, the job requires ability to operate machine tools, motor vehicles (may include forklift), hand/power tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot and to sequence tasks for specific assignments.

Job Summary

The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at GA Tech is seeking to hire a Research Engineer (Open Rank) to serve as a Product Manager. CSE is enhancing our impact on the Georgia Tech ecosystem through new programs that help students become better Research Software Engineers. With this increased capacity, we will amplify the impact of research conducted by Georgia Tech's scientific community. We are expanding our team of 6 professional software engineers (with varying degrees of industry experience) to include a Product Manager who is excited about working in a highly dynamic and research-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Georgia Tech faculty to identify areas of scientific research likely to benefit from dedicated Research Software Engineering.
  • Establish goals and requirements to create new functionality that maximize Research Software Engineering contributions.

Job Summary

Within the department of Tech Dining, the Sous Chef oversees daily food operations within an identified dining venue(s). Responsibilities include ensuring quality food production and presentation to meet the standards established by the Director of Culinary Services, supervising a team of lead cooks and kitchen supervisors and assisting with the oversight of additional shift workers to provide the best Tech Dining experience possible.

This position will interact on a regular basis with culinary employees within Tech Dining.

Estimates food consumption, selects, and develops recipes, standardizes production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establishes presentation technique and quality standards, plan, and price menus.

Trains and manages kitchen personnel within a specific dining concept and supervises/coordinates all related culinary activities.

Production - 15
Prepares daily production list and verifies that culinary staff follow all recipes and portion control.

Compliance - 15
Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements that ensures a safe and sanitary work environment.

Menu Planning - 10
Responsible for component menu planning, costing, and brand management.

Management - 10
Assists in supervision of food service workers with oversight for hiring, performance management, annual reviews, and initiating employee status changes.



Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.

Required Experience
Working experience includes three years in culinary, two years as a manager-preferably in higher education, with direct reports, and two years with a menu management system (i.e., a system that contributes to food ordering, inventory management, and food cost evaluation).

About the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The College of Computing has been a leader in defining modern computing as a paradigm that combines the foundations of theoretical mathematics and information science, the force of invention in computational systems and processes, and interdisciplinary practice that integrates innovation in computing with all facets of life. Job Summary

The College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites nominations and applications for the position of Chair of the School of Computing Instruction for the Atlanta campus located in midtown Atlanta, Georgia. The Chair will have the opportunity to build upon the success of the School and the College of Computing. With more students graduating with a Computer Science degree than any other major at Georgia Tech and the Institute's requirement that every student complete at least one programming course, quality instruction on the foundations of computing has never been more important. The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) was created to serve these critical needs within Georgia Tech and beyond. Our award-winning teaching-focused faculty have three core missions:

Platform for Creativity and Innovation. SCI's creative faculty boldly experiment with new ideas and approaches to pedagogy, while continually re-examining proven methods to ensure their approach is effective and practical across a different set of courses and students. Ultimately, we consider SCI a platform for meaningful experimentation and invite collaborations both within and beyond Georgia Tech to further push the envelope in computing education research, practice and outreach.

Scalability of Computing Instruction. SCI's faculty design and serve as primary instructors for the College's array of introductory computer science courses, direct the junior design/capstone program for our undergraduate computing majors, and teach a selection of upper-division and graduate level courses that reflect our faculty's varied interests. At the undergraduate level, SCI faculty teach a third of the College's 1000-4000 level course offerings or half of the nearly 9000 undergraduate computing course seats each semester. Further, we reach tens of thousands of GT graduate students and non-GT students through special initiatives, such as MOOCs and the state of Georgia's dual enrollment high school program.

Transparency and Meaningful Dialogue. While the main source of recognition we desire is from the numerous learners our faculty reach, we seek to foster meaningful dialogue and to share what works and what does not work in practice, in order to inspire others to attempt new ideas in computing education. We will use SCI's platform to encourage the distribution of information and (of course) to learn from others. We aspire to be leaders in the conversation on computing education.



Responsibilities

Reporting to the Dean of the College of Computing, the Chair has overall responsibility for the academic program in the School of Computing Instruction specifically focusing on all budgetary, administrative, academic, fiscal, and personal decisions in conjunction with the mission and goals of the College and Georgia Tech. The chair must have a forward-thinking strategic vision, the ability to implement that vision, and the necessary skills to lead a group of faculty and staff. Additionally, the Chair will provide overall leadership for all the school's teaching components at the undergraduate level. The Chair should establish collaborative and interdisciplinary relationships with others Computing School Chairs, with other leaders in the College, as well as all internal and external constituents at Georgia Tech and abroad. They must be able to build successful partnerships with executive leaders at Georgia Tech. Fostering community engagement and industry relationships should also be primary goals for the incoming Chair. Finally, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to Georgia Tech Core Values.



Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Doctorate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Be a Senior Academic or Teaching Faculty (equivalent or above) in a premier department at a research university;
  • Have demonstrated strong leadership and team building skills;
  • Have experience with strategic planning and vision development;
  • Have facility with fiscal management and administrative oversight;
  • Embrace participative management and open decision-making;
  • Care about the personal and educational enrichment of faculty, staff, and students;

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

This position will support the Accounts Payable team.

  • Prior experience in higher education finance or university accounting environments

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor management

  • Strong working knowledge of accounts payable systems and ERP platforms

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliations)

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to review large volumes of data for accuracy and discrepancies

  • Proven ability to research, resolve, and reconcile invoice and payment issues independently

  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and practical decision-making ability

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures and apply them with consistency and good judgment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information

Job Summary

The Legal Operations Manager supports the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) as part of the Operations team helping drive operational excellence across the department. This role focuses on managing legal technology, process improvement, data analysis, and operational initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across OGC, particularly Legal Affairs. While this position does not include supervisory responsibilities, it requires independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to lead projects from concept through implementation.



Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Evaluate and refine existing workflows and support continuous improvement efforts; design and implement best practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and automation of legal operations.
Job Duty 2 - Plan, schedule, and provide logistical support for meetings, events, and unit initiatives; oversee arrangements, prepare and distribute related materials, and ensure seamless execution of program and project activities.
Job Duty 3 - Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duty 4 - Lead the implementation, configuration, training, and adoption of legal technology tools (e.g., matter management, e-billing, intake management, and document management systems).
Job Duty 5 - Collect, analyze, and present operational and financial data (e.g., staffing metrics, budget performance, case assignments) to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Job Duty 6 - Assist with monitoring legal budgets, tracking expenditures, and conducting analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and support sound fiscal management.
Job Duty 7 - Contribute to process improvements for external counsel engagement and billing; monitor compliance with guidelines and support vendor relationship management.
Job Duty 8- Provide legal and compliance support, including reviewing legal documents, business records, drafting documents, conducting research, and assisting with responses to inquiries under the guidance of legal and compliance staff.
Job Duty 9 - Manage and support operational and unit projects and initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget; prepare related communications, actionable recommendations, training materials, and documentation.
Job Duty 10 - Provide program, operational and administrative support to the unit, collaborating across teams to promote alignment and efficiency.



Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Demonstrated experience in legal operations or related operational functions (e.g., legal technology, data analysis, e-billing, vendor management, or process improvement).
Proficient in Microsoft 365 Productivity Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational and financial data, run detailed reports, create pivot tables, and design charts and graphs for informed decision-making.
Proven track record of leading technology implementations and/or process improvement initiatives.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of change management practices, including communications and training development.
Experience in a higher education, public sector, or similarly complex organizational environment.



Proposed Salary

Salary: $72,783-$80,000 Annually
