The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is looking for an Electrophysics Engineer - Antennas & Propagation to join our Test and Evaluation team in the Antenna Test Center in Kent, WA.

The Antenna Test Center is home to the largest fully welded/shielded anechoic chamber in the Boeing Company, a Near Field Scanner and an Electromagnetics Lab.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior level Electrophysics Engineers.

This position will develop test plans/procedures to measure antenna patterns, peak gain and other antenna parameters as requested by customers of the facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating range performance and planning strategic capital investments to improve lab capability to meet future customer needs.

The candidate should have strong fundamental knowledge of antenna design, RF and electromagnetic theory. The candidate should have experience using RF test equipment including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, etc. This position is responsible for maintaining the lab schedule prioritizing day-to-day activities in support of lab operation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Test antenna and radome parameters using VNAs and automated systems
• Interpret and calculate antenna parameters from measured data
• Write scripts in VBScript to automate testing with antenna positioning system
• Maintain and coordinate lab schedule with various lab customers and lab personnel

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Experience working in RF measurements, Antenna Theory/test, and/or material measurements and characterization
• Experience applying electromagnetic theory to develop new antenna and radome types and technologies
• Experience with test equipment including RF (radio frequency) sources, power meters, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience leading or managing projects and/or teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Physics
• Experience developing object-oriented software systems and/or experience working RF Radio/Antenna systems and test equipment

Our team in the Elowitz Lab at Caltech/HHMI is engineering therapeutic protein circuits, a new cancer-treatment modality at the intersection of synthetic biology and oncology. We're looking for an in vivo oncology scientist (Senior Research Assistant to Senior Associate Scientist) to help expand and run the program's translational in vivo engine. The role starts in an academic setting, with the option to transition into an early-stage startup in 2027.

Why therapeutic circuits?

Cancer therapies face a fundamental trade-off between effectiveness and precision, driving off-target toxicity, recurrence, and resistance. Therapeutic protein circuits address this by directly rewiring oncogenic mutations to cell death. Delivered as mRNA in lipid nanoparticles, these engineered proteins can distinguish cancer from normal cells and have shown tumor suppression in vivo. By design, these circuits "sense and kill" rather than inhibit. What you'll do:

• Own and independently execute end-to-end in vivo oncology studies from tumor initiation through decision-grade analysis and reporting.
• Partner with the team to design studies and translate study plans into executable protocols.

What qualifications are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences (or related) with 4-8 years relevant in vivo experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years relevant in vivo experience
• Strong hands-on in vivo experience, including mouse handling, HTVi, common dosing routes (IV, PO, IT), and endpoint procedures (necropsy, tissue collection).

As a Senior Specialist Electrical Engineer, the candidate must have experience with L band RF systems, able to work from customer requirements to derive additional requirements, define the architecture of a possible solution based on requirements, setup a requirements schema & link requirements to documents (systems/subsystem specification, hardware/RF architecture description document, etc.) and flow down applicable requirements to other groups (software, ASIC, & test) so that they can contribute to realize the end solution based on the proposed architecture.
