EHS Manager – General Contractor Representative
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Saturday, project-driven
- Per Diem: Considered, Local preferred
Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager with 5–7 years of direct experience who can independently manage site safety operations and partner with project leadership to maintain a safe, compliant job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary EHS representative for the General Contractor on site
- Implement and enforce project-specific safety plans, AHAs/JHAs, and client requirements
- Perform daily site inspections, audits, and safety observations
- Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure
- Lead incident, near-miss, and hazard investigations with root cause analysis
- Interface with project management, subcontractors, owners’ representatives, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Monitor safety trends, metrics, and compliance documentation
- Support high-risk activities including cranes, rigging, MEWPs, excavation, electrical safety, and LOTO
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of construction safety experience, representing a General Contractor
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
- OSHA 30 required (OSHA 510 preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor safety compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BCSP certification preferred: CHST, ASP, or CSP
- Experience supporting large-scale, high-risk construction environments
- Familiarity with safety management platforms (iAuditor, Procore, Intelex, PlanIt etc.)
