Job Summary

The Vice President of Ambulatory and Physician Services directs the administration and coordination of all ambulatory activities of the Western Region in accordance with the policies determined by the President and Executive Director, Senior Network Leadership and Board of Trustees. This leader is responsible for the administration and planning of the Health Systemโs pre-acute care services and facilities. Acts in the capacity of a strategic leader of WMCHealth. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall operations of all medical practices located throughout the Western Region population health and our ACO.
- Collaborate with Directors/Chairs of all practices throughout the Western Region as the member of the Western division executive management team.
- Establish the strategic plan for staffing and services required to launch and open all practices including with an emphasis on a patient-focused, efficient outpatient culture.
- Maintain and analyze data as well as establish metrics for quality and patient satisfaction for outpatient services.

- Draft, review, and manage independent physician agreements, including medical directorships, on-call agreements, recruitment agreements, and performance management agreements.
- Inspects facilities and operations of departments recommending renovations, equipment change, and revision to organizational structure as appropriate.
- Serve as a member of the Space Committee, contributing to planning and decisions related to clinical space utilization.

Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care, and a working knowledge of administrative and management techniques.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

How youโll contribute
- Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop a census through face-to-face contacts.
- Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
- Face-to-face connections within the territory to build relationships with referral sources to increase census.
- Identifies barriers to the admission process and creates solutions with the assistance of the program director.
- Requires onsite and in-territory work through face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources.
- Completes in-person in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs and services.

Qualifications and requirements:
At a minimum, should hold a 2-year degree. A graduate holding a four-year degree from a college program with a bachelorโs degree in a health related, business or marketing area of concentration, nursing preferred.
- Education: Minimum 2-year degree required. Bachelorโs degree in a health-related, business, or marketing field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in clinical liaison, marketing, or healthcare sales preferred.
- License: Current license to practice as required by applicable state licensure regulations.
Wage scale: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
