Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
- Develops and implements strategic plans for hospitals to maximize organ/tissue donation potential.
- Engages with physicians, nurses, and coroner/medical examiner staff to facilitate organ/tissue donation and champions process improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a liaison to hospital staff during the donation process, ensuring effective communication between the hospital, the donor’s family, and the organization.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
- Ensures sales goals and budget objectives are met through fulfillment of customer orders and unsurpassed customer service. Creates and distributes inventory report to ensure customers in DCIDS’s donor service areas have first choice to available grafts. Communicates tissue availability to Distributors and Contract Partners as appropriate.
- Determines appropriate “par” levels for tissue inventory to ensure DCIDS can provide appropriate service levels to its customers. Represents Distribution at Production Planning meetings, providing demand requirements based on sales forecasts and processing leads times.
- Maintains a month-on-hand report to monitor and address low demand inventory. Acts as part of team to create programs/pricing or identify alternative outlets to ensure tissue is utilized. Communicates these programs to customers as appropriate.
- Ensures that Distribution department is compliant with all regulatory requirements related to storing, shipping, returning or transferring human donated tissue. - Manages sales agreements with client hospitals, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), distributors and others. Works with Director of Sales to discover requirements to win the contract. - Supports Distributor relationships by monitoring distribution revenue, calculating commissions, and securing authorization for timely payment.

- Recruits, retains, and develops results driven Distribution team. Advises and counsels, assists, and directs activities to ensure ongoing high performance. - Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of hospital market to characterize donor potential and identifies and engages decision-making individuals who can influence hospital protocols to include best demonstrated practices for donor referrals and family counseling.
- Conducts education needs assessments for assigned hospitals and develops and implements educational plan.4. Establishes multi-disciplinary councils within assigned hospitals, using peer level influence in order to forge a consensus about standards of practice for the donor referral and family counseling and request process. Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
- Develops and implements strategic plans for hospitals to maximize organ/tissue donation potential.
- Engages with physicians, nurses, and coroner/medical examiner staff to facilitate organ/tissue donation and champions process improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a liaison to hospital staff during the donation process, ensuring effective communication between the hospital, the donor’s family, and the organization.
- Develops and presents regular education to hospital staff on the benefits of and process for organ/tissue donation.
- Conducts data analysis and marketing initiatives to maximize potential in an effort to save and improve more lives.
- Documents all interactions with medical facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
- 2 years marketing experience, preferably within the medical or donation industry and/or related experience required.
- Understanding of the healthcare system and hospital operations.
- CPTC preferred.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Driver’s license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.

- Builds and sustains productive relationships between DCIDS team and key physicians and executives.
- Conducts global analysis of hospitals and hospital systems.
- Strategizes with leadership for donation service area approach and hospital system engagement.
- Conducts physician and executive educational needs assessments; develops and implements educational plans.
- Creates and maintains CME and CEU program for hospital partners
- Creates and maintains physician and executive directory.
- Builds and maintains a physician follow-up platform and conducts case follow up in collaboration with Hospital Development Coordinator.
- Develops and maintains relationships with area physician groups.
- Works closely with leadership, educators, and preceptors to develop and mentor the Hospital Development and Clinical teams to cultivate physician relationships.
- Collaborates and strategizes with DCIDS stakeholders to develop and implement external facing projects.
- Develops and leads Physician Advisory Committee.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BA or BS in health-related field, healthcare administration, business or education required, Masters degree preferred.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a health care-related environment with demonstrated success in sales and marketing, customer service, public speaking and public relations duties.
- Demonstrates strong leadership through routine interactions and engagement of all hospital partners such as physicians, nurses, and executives. Coordinates onsite meetings to review operational challenges and successes regarding the donation process. Provides exceptional communication and follow-up of written correspondence, verbal communication, and presentation creation/delivery.
