Role: Tank Prep / Process Operator

You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer, including:
- Reading and understanding Bills of Materials (BOMs), instructions and drawings.
- Inspection of tank and cover for defects
- Complete quality check of welded areas to meet manufacturing procedures and rework/repaint if required.
- Clean out all threads on tank and cover with tap/die and vacuum debris.
- Rotate cover and install and wire Current Transformers (CTs) per engineering design.
- Cut and install floor insulation and hardware before tanking.
- Cut insulation and install shunts on tank walls prior to tanking.
- Prep and install radiators after welding of cover.
- Move transformer and parts to and from weld booth as required.
- Assist in Final Assembly as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Summary: The Laird Chesterfield site is seeking a Quality Coordinator. Laird designs, develops and delivers industry leading solutions that protect electronics to enhance the performance and reliability for our customers. Our global organization of world-class scientists and engineers provide solutions to our existing and future customers’ complex problems. A successful candidate will lead the Chesterfield location’s Quality Management System requirements as well as key improvement programs, including support for automotive and aerospace manufacturing sites across Laird. This specific location is not a manufacturing site but includes processes and activities such as Sales, Quoting, Customer Service and some Product Design. Other activities related to quality include but are not limited to system implementation, standardization, and automation. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers to maintain business and account growth.
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and through new B2B customer acquisition.
- Manage communications between key clients and internal teams.
- Resolve key client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze customer sales data to provide continued sales growth.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using a consultative sales approach.
- Follow through on catalog program presentation schedule making sure all deadlines are met and executed properly.
- Work with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Work with the Key Account Coordinator to execute data management for customers.
- Understand balloon artistry and train customers.
- Travel to customer locations to train, educate, and assist in store sets.
- Understand seasonal demand, event trends, and client needs to recommend appropriate products and quantities.
- Attend trade shows, client meetings, and industry events as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field or applicable experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of four years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field; balloon industry experience is preferred.
- This position may be performed remotely for candidates with prior balloon/industry experience. Candidates without direct industry experience must be based in or willing to relocate to the Chesterfield / St. Louis, Missouri area.
- Ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively while still meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to learn balloon artistry and train customers.
- Ability to travel 30% to key client locations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage time and duties independently when working remotely.

The gross base annual salary is $72,000 plus an excellent commission plan and benefits package.

As a Route Sales Driver you will start out learning the business riding with another driver/supervisor and then once qualified move up to supervise the sales and route of your own truck.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for day to day route operations including sales, collection of cores, inventory of customer’s batteries, as well as inventory on the truck.
- Candidates must have at least a Class B CDL.
Route Drivers have a base pay with a bonus package based on the key elements of operating our routes to their maximum potential that allows the potential candidate to make up to 65+k a year in total compensation. In addition to the base pay and bonus package, we offer a $2500 sign-on bonus and a generous benefits including 1 week vacation in the first year, paid time off, uniforms, healthcare coverage, retirement plan and a support staff second to none in our industry.
This is a Very physical job which entails some heavy lifting at times which will be evaluated during the interview process.
The retail location this position will be based out of is located at 4638 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville MO 63376. You will be required to load there at least twice a week.
Experience as a Route Driver Desired/Required.
