Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Interpret, implement, and update the Safety Compliance Manual, Emergency Response Manual, First Aid Standard Operating Procedures, First Aid Patient Care Protocols and support Corporate Safety and Health Standards.
* Maintain records and produce use of force reviews of security-related incidents.
* Communicate with Park management and Team Members on any Safety and/or Security threats that exist or may come to exist.
* Meet and review Emergency Response Procedures with local, county, state and federal agencies on a periodic basis.
* Develop training program for Park leadership and Public Safety employees. Coordinate scaled emergency response simulations in conjunction with local, county, state, and federal agencies.
* Serve as a liaison of off-duty police officers working for Six Flags Over Georgia.
* Monitor department Team Member Voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
* Serve as Park Guest Service Ambassador and work to resolve all concerns brought to your attention.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Occupational Safety, Business, related field, or equivalent work experience required.
* OSHA 30 required
* In-depth knowledge of Georgia and Cobb County ordinances and law enforcement guidelines.
* Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask under high-pressure emergencies.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with a team-oriented approach.

Department Overview
The California Policy Lab (CPL) generates research insights for government impact. Through hands-on partnerships with government agencies, CPL performs rigorous research across issue silos and builds the data infrastructure necessary to improve programs and policies that millions of Californians rely on every day. We work on California's most urgent issues, including homelessness, poverty, criminal justice reform, and education inequality. At its Berkeley site, CPL resides as a center within the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE). CPL recognizes the value of having a diverse staff at all levels of the organization. Position Description
The Health & Safety Net Researcher will lead CPL's research portfolio relating to the social safety net and health, in collaboration with and under the oversight of CPL's faculty affiliates and Research Director. This is an exciting role for a skilled safety net and/or health researcher who wants to design and conduct policy-relevant quantitative research in partnership with state and local agencies throughout California. The Health & Safety Net Researcher conducts quantitative research, including conceptualizing research questions and design; requesting, receiving, and cleaning data files; creating and implementing an analysis plan; conducting quality assurance reviews; summarizing results in documents for both academic and policy audiences; and generating replicability documentation. The Health & Safety Net Researcher can implement multiple research designs and analysis techniques, including but not limited to randomized control trials, quasi-experimental designs using natural experiments or other such variation, and difference-in-difference and event study analyses. Further, a successful candidate can lead research projects under the oversight of CPL's Research Director with small teams, write proposals to support research projects, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of research tasks. The Health & Safety Net Researcher will mentor and supervise other research staff. The position will report to the Research Director and will work directly with leading social policy researchers at UC and other top universities, state and local government agency staff, and CPL's leadership team.
Position Responsibilities
- Under the oversight of the Research Director, conduct quantitative research, including conceptualizing research questions and design; requesting, receiving, and cleaning data files; creating and implementing analysis plans; conducting quality assurance reviews; summarizing results in documents for both academic and policy audiences; and generating replicability documentation.
- Annually publish multiple reports and policy briefs based on research.
- Implement multiple research designs and analysis techniques, including but not limited to randomized control trials, quasi-experimental designs using natural experiments or other such variation, and difference-in-difference and event study analyses.
- Lead research projects with small teams, write proposals to support research projects, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of research tasks.
- Supervise other research staff, provide feedback on performance.
- Partner effectively with state and local agency staff to build a joint research agenda.

The Department of Public Safety protects and serves the Creighton community through proactive patrolling, rapid response, community outreach, security technology, and safe parking and transportation options. We seek to ensure that all members of our community can live, learn, work, and play in a safe and secure environment. Our team includes 3 shift managers, 3 lead officers, 3 senior officers, 15 officers, 3 full-time dispatchers, and 3 part-time dispatchers. Public Safety has primary responsibility for security enforcement, emergency management, campus safety, and parking enforcement on Creighton University's Omaha Campus.
The Public Safety Dispatcher manages a communications center to enable the protection of Creighton University's Omaha Campus, including people, facilities, and property. A successful dispatcher candidate will demonstrate absolute integrity, a willingness to relate to all members of the Creighton community, a desire to help others, and the ability to exercise good judgment under pressure. Public Safety dispatchers receive calls for assistance and information and dispatch Public Safety officers to emergency and non-emergency calls for services, including safety and security incidents, medical aid, and fire alarms. Dispatchers monitor and operate multiple video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems. Dispatchers also track calls and activities and maintain a log of incidents occurring during their assigned shifts. Dispatcher must have excellent communication skills, remain calm under stressful emergency situations, and be able to think clearly and act quickly. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to multitask is crucial. The dispatcher position is a lifeline position to callers and officers. The ability to creatively solve problems and find resolutions to questions, problems, and concerns is imperative. The ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of Creighton's community, campus geography, policies, procedures, and stakeholders will be essential.
- Answers telephone and radio calls, then notifies appropriate stakeholders of information.

Implement, for the Security part, the EP3 process (Operational Control and Emergency Plan) within the framework of the SMEP. Ensure that all provisions are respected to prevent and contain security risks. Contribute to the capitalization of experience by participating in analysis of all safety-related events that have occurred on the site. Monitor and operate the alarm centralization boards. Implement temporary arrangements when required. Apply "Logistics" instructions to carriers (weighing, sealing, transport documents, etc.)
* Intervention: Intervene in case of intrusion alarm, incident, disaster or malicious act. Apply pre-established instructions or orders given in case of unforeseen circumstances. Use reflex sheets in the event of an event. Evaluate an event situation and report accordingly. Alert the Site Safety Manager and those responsible to any serious anomaly or any situation of persistent risk and apply the necessary emergency measures, including first aid. Conduct PP operational interventions (reception/transmission of alarms, emergency calls, etc.)
* Information / Communication: Ensure the reception (physical or telephone) according to the rules of the Management Staff. Inform any newcomer (or incoming) to the applicable site security rules. Reception and transmission of telephone calls. Write the handrail and anomaly reports. Provide information on Fire and Safety indicators, monitor progress and guarantee quality.
