Summary

Our client, a top-tier professional services firm with a large global footprint, seeks a Physical Security Manager (Security Manager // NOT a cybersecurity role) responsible for overseeing and strengthening physical security operations across the United States and key locations in Latin America, to safeguard its people, offices, and assets. The incumbent will assist in the development of consistent security practices that tie into the Firm’s global security program. The Security Manager will play a key role in supporting daily operations, as well as managing security platforms and third party security vendors. Additional areas of responsibility include crisis management and incident response, risk awareness, compliance with global standards, and business continuity planning.

Responsibilities

Security Operations Support:

SUMMARY:

The Site Security Manager (SSM) serves as the day-to-day manager of a site security team that includes administrative officers, responders, and other security personnel at a client’s datacenter. The SSM is responsible for building a cohesive and high performing team. Reporting directly to the Campus Security Manager (CSM), the SSM works alongside other security team managers in their campus to ensure a safe and secure environment. Additional job functions may include client service and problem resolution, service enhancement, Security Operations Center (SOC) systems maintenance, audit compliance, system monitoring, log maintenance, and access rights maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Actively manages site security personnel; partners with the local branch to recruit and hire, oversee onboarding, training, and development at the datacenter.

2. Coaches security personnel and carries out disciplinary actions in accordance with current policy.

3. Ensures all responders and control room supervisors adhere to policies and standard operating procedures, acting as responder or control room supervisor in periods of increased activity or in the case of absent staff.

4. Ensures site health and key performance indicator goals are met or exceeded; works with the CSM to enhance security team effectiveness and performance.

5. Conducts recalling audits, prepares, and submits critical and confidential information directly to client management team.

6. Oversees site security systems to ensure safe and compliant operation of the facility.

Job Description: Our Flex Officers are trained to work at every job site within SGT. This includes working mobile vehicle patrol. We depend on our Flex Officers to work a job site whenever there is a call off or a fire watch. Typical job site locations would be; San Francisco, Berkeley, Redwood City, Fremont, San Jose, Mountain View, etc.

The mobile vehicle patrol aspect of this job will have you driving all of the Bay Area in a marked security vehicle (picked up in Newark CA), which is usually a black Ford Explorer with light bar and spotlights. Officers visit many different properties throughout each night. Typical mobile patrol duties are to look for anything unusual, enforce parking rules, scan checkpoints, write detailed reports w/pictures, and respond to calls for service like an alarm or noise complaint.

Summary: Essentially we depend on our Flex Officers for just about everything. We are still a startup company so you must be "ALL IN" on this opportunity, which simply means you are dedicated to do whatever is needed to take care of our clients. Normally we work 8 hour shift, however sometimes this means working 12 hour shifts and working extra days to help cover open shifts. However, our goal is for everyone to be able to make great money and not have to work overtime on a regular basis.

Once a Flex Officer has been shown to be proficient at all SGT job locations, that officer may be promoted to Supervisor and a $2/hour increase in pay. Supervisors are then groomed to become managers.

In many cases our clients desire a softer security plan that meets their values and needs, but where high value people and assets are involved, others may prefer a more obvious security presence. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that required an enhanced presence and personal protective services. You'll be trained by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

Job Description:

• Security Officer Covers posts (e.g., customer counter, employee, vehicle entrances, guard houses, gates, construction gates, parking lot, perimeter, etc.)
• Screens employees (in/out) and personal baggage at pedestrian and vehicle entrances
• Verifies seal controls on vehicles at gateway (cut and apply seals)
• Verifies identity badges of personnel for clearance, screen vehicles
• Conducts roving patrols, on foot or in vehicle around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, storage areas, switchyards etc.
• Identifies fire hazards, unauthorized activity malfunctioning utility, hazardous conditions
• Monitors CCTV
• May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.
• Performs additional duties related to security of premises as required

Qualifications:

• Have reliable transportation
• Physically capable of performing the assigned work
• Able to meet all applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements in the state in which the officer's assigned facility is located
• Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing

Education & License:

• Must be 21 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a Valid Driver's License

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs).
• Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.
