Position Overview
Charter Oak Landscape Development is seeking a Mid-Level Landscape Designer to join our design team. This position will work in close collaboration with our Lead Designer, while also gradually assuming responsibility for their own design clients.
Client ownership will be shared initially, with the opportunity to manage independent projects as experience and familiarity with our standards grow. This role is ideal for a designer who is confident in production and design development, values collaboration, and is eager to grow within a design-build firm.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Client Work
- Support shared design projects led by the Lead Designer
- Gradually assume responsibility for assigned design clients
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and material palettes
- Incorporate client feedback and design revisions efficiently
- Participate in client presentations and design meetings
Technical Production
- Produce complete design drawings suitable for construction
- Draft planting plans, hardscape layouts, and site details
- Coordinate designs with irrigation, lighting, and grading concepts
- Maintain clean, organized CAD files consistent with firm standards
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with project management and installation teams
- Participate in internal design reviews and coordination meetings
- Support design documentation through construction as needed
Qualifications
Required
- 3–7 years of residential landscape design experience
- Proficiency in CAD drafting (Land F/X strongly preferred)
- Experience producing construction-ready landscape drawings
- Strong design judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Professional written and verbal communication skills

- Experience in a residential design-build environment
- Familiarity with California landscapes and Central Valley climate conditions

The Diesel Fleet Mechanic position optimizes the department workflow, quality, & efficiency through maintaining equipment in a well-trained & an effective / collaborative team environment. Responsibilities
- Performs inspection, maintenance, & repairs on heavy duty vehicles (trucks, tow motors, trailers, etc.)
- Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering, & cooling systems
- Tracks and monitors all maintenance work through the RTA software program
- Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment:
- Ensures all jobs in the shop and plant area are completed in a proficient and safe manner
- Uses computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task list including diagnostic programs for engines and hydraulic systems, etc.
- Ensures all personal protective equipment is used as needed
- Monitors garage / plant for supply stock and cleanliness
- Establishes & maintains effective communication / coordination with staff & management:

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED

- Valid Class A CDL strongly preferred

About the Role:
As a CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver/Operator, youll be responsible for the safe transport and disposal of non-hazardous liquid waste for residential and commercial customers. Youll operate vacuum pressure equipment, manage transportation between customer, branch, and disposal sites, and serve as a professional representative of Wind River Environmental. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28.00 - $30.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
What Youll Do:
- Operate a company service truck and equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Transport and dispose of non-hazardous liquid waste
- Deliver outstanding customer service on every job
- Complete required paperwork, including driver worksheets, manifests, and timesheets
- Work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations as needed
- Follow all company safety protocols and DOT regulations
