Key Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care

- Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility and home exercise programs

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including OT, SLP, nursing, and case management

- Supervise and direct PTAs in accordance with state practice guidelines

- Complete accurate and timely documentation including evaluations, progress notes, recerts, and discharge summaries

- Maintain productivity while ensuring patient-centered care

- Work weekday hours with weekend call responsibilities
- Work in cardiovascular operating room averaging 6 cases per day
- Perform in open heart surgery and vascular cases with confidence
- Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer service standards
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination and diagnostic data analysis
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities while executing immediate directives in urgent situations
- Provide nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standards of practice
- Complete verification of Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards
- Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely in timely manner
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment for patient and staff protection
- Prepare operating room for patient and procedures
- Position and prepare patients on operating table
- Serve as communication liaison between family and operating team
- Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed
- Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
