The Pain Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) works with adult patients experiencing various types of pain. The RN is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care including patient education, coordination of care for implanted pain management devices, and the management of telephone triage in a busy medical specialty practice. Nursing Team Roles: Infusion Therapy nurses are experts in the areas of intravenous medication administration, vascular access care and maintenance, PICC line placement and care, and are a resource for the Department of Nursing and institution on vascular access care and troubleshooting.
