Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a highly-reputable law firm in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a temp-to-hire position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, supporting attorneys and contributing to insurance defense litigation. The role involves hybrid work arrangements with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, managing trial preparation, and handling high-level case files.
- Provide full-service support for insurance defense cases, ensuring all aspects of litigation are handled efficiently.
- Conduct legal research to support litigation efforts.
- Manage case documentation and deadlines through software such as iManage.
- Maintain consistent communication with attorneys and clients to facilitate case progress.
- Track billable hours to meet annual targets and ensure accurate reporting.
- Handle discovery tasks, including document review and evidence management.
- Support attorneys with administrative duties, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a legal or paralegal role.
- Strong background in civil litigation (insurance defense is a plus).
- Proven ability to manage trial preparation and discovery tasks.
- Familiarity with case management software such as iManage.
- Proficient in legal research using platforms like Lexis Nexis and West Law.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
