Job Summary

Riveer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing activities, maintain vendor relationships, and keep accurate records of all materials and supplies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our production and service teams have the parts and materials they need to deliver high-quality equipment on time.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and supplies.
• Ensure orders received are accurate
• Communicate with vendors to request quotes, confirm pricing, and track deliveries
• Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records within the ERP system
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment to prevent shortages
• Follow up on open orders and resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers
• Assist with invoice matching and coordination with accounting for timely payment
• Provide general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or clerical/administrative support (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
• Knowledge of basic purchasing processes, vendor management, or inventory practices

Physical Demands

• This position requires the ability to frequently lift with arms and hands, as well as to stand, twist, bend, walk, and sit
• This position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, on occasion, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance
• This vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Noise level is moderate to loud
• Exposure to both hot and cold temperatures
