Internship – Strategic Sourcing

Position Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing and procurement of high-value equipment—such as inverters, transformers, and other critical components—for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, data analytics, and contract negotiation within a fast‑growing sector of the energy industry.

The intern will work closely with the Strategic Sourcing team to analyze supplier data, support competitive bidding events, evaluate commercial proposals, and help optimize sourcing strategies. Primary Responsibilities

Supplier & Market Research

• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for medium-voltage transformers, inverters, and other BESS components.

Your responsibilities

The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for loading and unloading product that is shipped and/or received at the Central Distribution Center. As a Clamp Truck Operator, it will be your responsibility to follow and abide by all BSH and CDC rules and procedures to the best of your ability.

Safety:

• Safely operates industrial clamp/lift truck, manual pallet jacks, and other forms of materials handling equipment on the distribution floor.
• Adheres to BSH guidelines by wearing and utilizing required PPE.

General:

• Maintains material handling equipment including electronic computers, mechanical scales, doors, door locks, door levelers, battery chargers and related equipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles, containers, and other forms of transportation installing strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage to designated staging areas and records serial numbers using the correct lifting apparatus for the designated product.
• Follows written or oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved in a timely, scheduled manner to the customer.
• Unloads and sorts materials from trailers and locate in the Distribution Center, either by directed put away or open location.

• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, boxes or other containers.

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. Requirements

* PE license or AICP certification and/or other relevant environmental certifications related to the energy market

* Strong understanding of routing, siting, and permitting for electric transmission and natural gas industry in the Mid-Atlantic preferred

* Demonstrated experience with renewable energy sectors in the Mid-Atlantic such as utility-scale solar, distributed solar, on/offshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), geothermal, and renewable natural gas

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead electrical engineering delivery across utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in the U.S.

This role owns electrical scope from early development through construction, commissioning, and operations. You'll act as the technical authority across multiple projects, working closely with EPC contractors, utilities, vendors, and internal teams to ensure compliant, high-performing power plants.

This is a hands-on senior position suited to an experienced electrical leader who enjoys owning technical outcomes and influencing major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical engineering activities for utility-scale solar and BESS projects across development, design, construction, commissioning, and operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 15+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
• At least 5+ years working on utility-scale solar projects (BESS experience strongly preferred)
• Proven experience in engineering management and technical leadership
• Strong working knowledge of: MV/HV electrical systems, Substations, Protection & Control and Grid interconnection
• In-depth understanding of U.S. electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE)
• Direct experience with ERCOT and Texas interconnection requirements
• Experience working with EPC contractors and field construction teams
• Strong technical documentation, design review, and approval capabilities

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of assembly equipment, tools, and processes, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

As a Production Supervisor you will coordinate the effective use of equipment, facilities, team members and skill sets in order to meet all safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements for a group of departments and/or multiple shifts.

You will do this by

1. Develops, trains and motivates team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation and morale; maintains awareness of plant and/or engineering policies and procedures and ensures employee adherence; may recommend and/or implement new plant policies and procedures
2. Analyzes potential production problems (delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, etc.) and devises and implements procedures to minimize lost time due to these occurrences
3. Reviews operational schedules, coordinates production/testing activities, and manages team member assignments; may manage for multiple departments and/or shifts
4. Assists with tasks such as monitoring and determining manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications and ensures the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment and facilities
5. Interacts with engineers to modify machines, equipment and/or processes to improve safety, production and overall quality; provides liaison support between plant and engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
6. Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement projects. Recommends and initiates projects; sees those projects through to deadline with measurable improvements
7. Manages costs and budgets and provide corrective action plans to improve budgetary control
8. Inspects materials and finished product for quality compliance as required
9. Perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
