- Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro PCU
- Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN
- Stepdown Job Details:
- Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend schedule required
- Float required as needed across all facilities if necessary
- Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- first time travelers accepted
- Neuro PCU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Must pass mandatory EKG exam (Pass/Fail)
- 2 attempts allowed
- Care for medical neurological patients including stroke, TBI, seizure disorders, and TIA
- Manage CVA patients, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, Yale Swallowing screen
- Handle central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring
- Provide tracheostomy care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drip management
- 24 hours of orientation provided
- Staff scheduled for 6-week periods through self-assisted scheduling via Optilink
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Must complete compliance by 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date
- 50-mile local radius restriction
