Additional Job Duties:
- Directs, coordinates, and participates in provision of rehabilitation services to individuals with brain injuries and/or other neurological disorders
- Directs the provision of rehabilitative clinical services to maximize patient outcomes and satisfaction and program efficiency
- Supervises the licensed clinical staff including management of cases, staff assignments, case problems, issues and methods of treatment and recommends alternative approaches
- Develops with treatment team, plans for service delivery and plans for discharge
- Reviews management of cases, staff assignments, case problems, issues, and methods of treatment and recommends alternative approaches
- Oversees program evaluation processes and completion of annual program evaluation report
- Manages the records documentation process to ensure that the patient/clients clinical record meets legal and regulatory requirements, facilitates care, enhances the continuity of care, helps coordinate treatment and evaluation of the patient/client
- Directs staff to meet patient/client needs through the identification and use of all available resources
- Ensures the program is in substantial compliance with all applicable licensure, accreditation and certification standards
- Accompanies others on sales calls to provide clinical expertise, as needed
- Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role including directing and participating in clinical training programs for professional and paraprofessional staff

Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree preferred in Human Service/Allied Health field or the equivalent preferred
- Minimum of two years clinical experience and working knowledge of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities
- Minimum of two years in a supervisory or administrative role preferred
- Maintains professional license and/or certification as required by the state in which the Director of Clinical Management practices

Job Description:
- Assist in assuring the best patient care possible by assisting nursing personnel (including charge nurse and Director of Nursing) on a specified unit during their assigned work hours.

- Reports any possible performance issues by employees within the facility to the RN for determination if disciplinary action is required. May be asked by the RN to send an employee home for the remainder of the shift if the RN determines that further investigation is needed. May document the performance concern on the appropriate form for review and use by the RN in the disciplinary process.
- Assist with lab request as ordered per facility policy using appropriate techniques. Responsible for re-posting lab work as ordered on unit, reviewing results and notifying attending MD per established policies, protocols, and physician orders.
- Assist with emergencies arising while on duty. Performs CPR if needed. Assist with emergencies on other units if needed.
- Assist with notifying attending MD of any change or illness of patients in the unit. Notifies attending physician of emergencies and death of patients in the unit. Implement order of changes in orders as instructed or ordered by MD.
- Assist with other general duties which include rounds with doctors; checking MD orders, including update of orders; verification of completeness of nursing summaries timely and verification that all nursing records are complete and timely.
- May be asked to provide hall coverage as needed.
- Assist with coordinating the health care team including the rehab aides duties and assignments.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing in accordance to NC Board Of Nursing Practice Acts.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a high school graduate
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, with a current, valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina and submit proof of license renewal.
- Must provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor’s orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- Must be CPR certified yearly and attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.

What qualifications you will need:
· Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
· Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse on a Medical/Surgical Unit required. Rehab experience is preferred.
· Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
· Current BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities
What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences

Assists therapy staff in effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.
Provides direct patient care.
Provides routine customer relations touch points to ensure customer satisfaction and continued referral flow.
Makes referrals to other disciplines and/or agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.
Supports the delivery of the highest standard of rehabilitation services through appropriate utilization of resources, the promotion of clinical programs, and staff development in collaboration with licensed therapists, the Clinical Operations Area Director, and Clinical Director.
Coordinates Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants within facility or home care contracts.
Monitors the provision of evidence based care, adherence to care delivery standards, and practice act compliance.
Ensures that the clinical management of the rehabilitation department, including oversight related to case management, quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization, and patient identification is overseen by a licensed therapist.
Assists therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and seeks out support when clinical education is required to meet the needs of the patient.
Assists in coordinating daily staffing and utilization with input from treating therapists, consideration of clinical requirements, and recommendations from the Clinical Director.
Monitors financial controls of revenue and expenses in collaboration with the Clinical Operations Area Director.
Assists the Clinical Operations Area Director in meeting annual budget goals.
Assists with clinical orientation and ensures that there is a quality orientation process for new rehab staff.
Supports the delivery of the highest standard of rehab services through appropriate utilization of resources, the promotion of clinical programs, and support staff development in collaboration with licensed therapists, the Clinical Operations Area Director and the Clinical Director.
Promotes all Powerback Rehabilitation products and services whenever possible.
Assists Clinical Operations Area Director in maintaining relationships, and identifying and securing new relationships and contracts.
Develops and maintains relationships with facility management teams and staff as a representative of Powerback Rehabilitation.
Ensures that the clinical management of the rehab department, including oversight related to case management, quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization, and patient identification is overseen.
Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice. Posted Salary Range: USD $29.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr.
