PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provides leadership and oversight of Registration and Financial Counseling operations within the hospitals or outpatient hospital licensed sites. Supports Director of Patient Access (“PAS”) to execute the strategic vision for system-wide PAS and Financial Clearance functions. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support, oversee, and manage the performance and productivity of the team as it relates to Registration, Financial Counseling and Information Desk activities and pre-defined goals/targets, while providing feedback and guidance to the supervisors and the team
  2. Develop, implement, and manage efficient and effective operational policies, procedures, processes and performance monitoring across PAS
  3. Confirm supervisory staff are consistently performing performance monitoring processes
  4. Ensure PAS employees and non-reporting areas performing PAS functions comply with established policies, processes and quality assurance programs
  5. Manage to applicable PAS Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”). Define and implement action plans when performance is not meeting expectations. This work includes monitoring of non-reporting areas performing PAS functions
  6. Ensure the team’s ability to accurately confirm eligibility of patient coverage benefits, including coverage limits, number of days, patient responsibility, and effective dates
  7. Recommend new approaches to enhance and improve productivity as needed
  8. Support Director of Hospital Patient Access to execute strategic vision for PAS and implement changes needed to comply with payer and regulatory requirements
  9. Support CCHC strategic initiatives that require involvement from on-site patient access functions as required
  10. Assess direct reports’ performance on a consistent basis and provides feedback to reward effective performance and enable proactive performance improvement steps to be taken
  11. Collaborate with other disciplines to implement changes as needed for PAS
  12. Define, implement, and monitor strategies to improve overall PAS efficiency
  13. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance changes impacting area of responsibility and ensure employees are appropriately educated and processes are modified as needed
  14. Assess workflow prioritization on a daily basis to confirm that PAS metrics and benchmarks are consistently achieved
  15. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred
  • Required three to five years’ experience in patient access financial clearance operations with at least two years being in a supervisory capacity
  • Experience and knowledge of third party reimbursement and eligibility processes and regulations
  • Required three to five years of demonstrated experience with Epic or comparable software applications
  • Ability to evaluate personal performance against established goals
  • Demonstrated goal-oriented thinking, operational and organizational skills
  • An understanding of the psychology of complex corporate relationships, and an ability to influence within such an environment

  • Design, architect, and implement secure authentication and authorization solutions using Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) and secure access for internal and external applications, platforms, and APIs.
  • Lead the implementation of modern identity standards, including OpenID Connect (OIDC) and OAuth 2.0, supporting a variety of use cases such as web applications, mobile applications, B2B integrations, and service-to-service communication.

Job Summary

The Library () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a collaborative and knowledgeable librarian to lead and manage digital accessibility services to further support the Library's ongoing commitment to ensure that all Library resources and digital assets can be used by all members of the Georgia Tech community, regardless of ability. The Title II and Digital Access Librarian works collaboratively across the library to ensure a unified strategy for proactive and remediated digital resource accessibility, including Course Reserves, Interlibrary Loan, Digital Repository, and other Library digital interfaces. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services this position will serve as the Service Owner for the Library's Title II and Accessibility initiatives including coordinating digital accessibility remediation, working with vendors and campus partners, and participating in strategic decision-making as a core member of various internal and external committees. The Title II and Digital Access Librarian will provide expert advice regarding digital accessibility to inform and support the Georgia Tech Library's vision of innovating services, tools, and access to all for an inclusive future.



Responsibilities

This is a 12-month faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% excellence in assigned duties, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession. Up to two (2) years credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter. Responsibilities

Provide and improve library services and resources; enrich the research, learning, and scholarship of the Georgia Tech community through the following:

80% Librarianship

  • Lead and manage the Library's Title II Digital Access Service that includes the coordination and prioritization of requests, compliance, and vendor relationships related to digital accessibility and Title II.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student employees.
  • Advise Library Leadership, Library colleagues, students, faculty, and staff and other GT Units on Digital Access best practices and compliance.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to improve upon and educate users and stakeholders on digital accessibility and participate in the Library's portfolio and project management processes as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services Librarians and staff, other colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure a unified strategy for resource acquisition, discovery, delivery, and access of scholarly resources.
  • Collaborate with all Library Departments to ensure a unified and compliant digital portfolio.
  • Monitor current trends and best practices in digital accessibility and recommend improvements to local policies, practices, and workflows.
  • Contributes to Course Reserves and Interlibrary Loan service operations, working alongside colleagues and participating in day-to-day workflows as needed.
  • Serve as an ex officio member of the Content Management Group and share expertise in digital accessibility.
  • Serve as a core member of the Alma-Primo Advisory Group.
  • Participate in collaborative discussions with local, state, and national efforts including, but not limited to, GALILEO, NERL, and ASERL.

In this role, the successful candidate The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and/or Advanced Care Practitioners and nurses in providing patient care. This role is responsible for validating patient identifiers, preparing patients and rooms for examination, measuring and recording vital signs, drawing blood, and collecting other lab samples. The Medial Assistant is also responsible for administrative tasks, such as, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and performing data entry.

Position Overview

The Bank On Fellow will lead and grow the Bank On Miami- Dade Coalition initiative. The Fellow will build and manage cross-sector partnerships with financial institutions, government agencies, community organizations, and regulators to expand access to safe, affordable banking for unbanked and underbanked residents. By coordinating coalition activities, aligning financial products with Bank On National Standards, and integrating banking access into existing programs, the Fellow will strengthen financial inclusion efforts and support Branches' mission to empower families toward financial wellness.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Cultivate new and existing relationships with local, regional, and national partners including city, county and state officials; banks and credit unions; community organizations; researchers and advocates; and banking regulators including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Bank, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Department of the Treasury, and National Credit Union Administration. Develop and support a multi-sector Bank On Advisory Committee (if applicable).
  • Work with financial institutions who do not yet offer nationally certified products that meet the Bank On National Account Standards to achieve certification.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to incorporate banking access into existing Financial Wellness program infrastructure. Work with program partners to implement successful integrations. Lead meetings with senior representatives within municipal agencies, financial institutions, and community-based organizations to develop and advance local coalition initiatives.
  • Design Bank On Coalition strategy, manage Bank On program budget, oversee Bank On team (as applicable).
  • Track, analyze and report data about Bank On activities.
  • Serve as a resource to the community around banking and financial empowerment issues.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with local funders and public funding source entities to seek ongoing public and private support to ensure program remains financially stable. Identify and leverage opportunities for in-kind and pro bono support for the program.

  • Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal - based plan as needed

  • Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals

  • Demonstrates clinical competence

  • Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable

  • Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit

  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Schedule: 

  • Night Shift, .9 FTE (36 hours per week)

  • RNs work 12-hour shifts 

  • Day shift: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm, Night shift: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am 

  • Weekend and holiday rotation

  • This unit self-schedules. Schedules are 6-week blocks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in nursing required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities

  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
