Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment inventory, ensuring the information is accurate and updated promptly.
- Regularly evaluate fixed lab equipment (fume hoods, exhaust fans, biosafety cabinet, etc) are functioning properly.
- Manage all laboratory vendor service contracts ensuring that preventative maintenance visits are executed on schedule
- Manage and coordinate timelines across laboratories for certifications and calibrations on critical equipment
- Help resolve and/or coordinate equipment repair visit between the service provider and the laboratory team.

- Work with all parties involved (technicians, users, IT, and leadership) to ensure that both the equipment and operational needs are met.
- Chaperone technicians from external suppliers and ensure they are adhering to company policies while onsite.
- Oversee delivery logistics by coordinating the receipt of packages, gas deliveries, or installation of laboratory equipment.
- Support the procurement of laboratory consumables and supplies as needed.
- Perform general troubleshooting of laboratory operation issues as they arise.
- Support the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure compliant lab operations.
- Work with lab safety officer to manage the safety systems/compliance and ensure the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is current and available.
- Provide miscellaneous laboratory maintenance tasks as needed e.g. supply stocking, eye wash/safety shower flushing, removal of waste, etc
Required Qualifications:
- A.S. or B.S. in Life Sciences or Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biotech experience in an academic or industry setting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience implementing maintenance and repair programs in a Research & Development (R&D) facility.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with member of cross-functional team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems while anticipating the downstream impacts
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.

About the position:
The Quality Lab Sensory Analyst position at Givaudan involves evaluating flavoring products and incoming ingredients through sensory evaluations and basic physical-chemical. Under general supervision, the analyst will identify and document non-conforming products, applying simple corrections as necessary. The role requires performing basic equipment calibrations and supporting various laboratory functions as directed. The analyst will enter test results into the computer system, SAP, leading to either approval or rejection of products based on the evaluations conducted. In addition to the core responsibilities, the analyst will support miscellaneous lab functions, which may include pre-shipment sample processing, filing retain samples, maintaining lab supplies, and disposing of liquid hazardous waste.
The role also involves identifying out-of-specification results and applying simple corrections, as well as documenting and communicating non-conformances to higher-level quality personnel and operations as needed. The analyst will analyze and collect data for investigations and must work in accordance with all relevant requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and internal safety guidelines. Participation in site training sessions and improvement projects related to quality, food safety, safety, problem-solving, lean manufacturing, and 5S is also expected. The position requires excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to teamwork.

$83,800.00 - $142,715.00This reflects base salary.
This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity ("TCO") for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of,
$98,600.00 - $167,900.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location.
TCO is defined as Base Salary + Target Sales Incentive (Sales Incentive eligible role only).

Experience:

2 years of hands-on experience in histology and microtomy, including precise tissue sectioning required
Technical Skills:

In this role you will:
Laboratory Operations & Support
Perform routine laboratory procedures such as media and buffer preparation, reagent/solvent mixtures, filtrations, material weighing, and basic physical testing.
Support senior staff by preparing materials and assisting with experiments.
Maintain and verify laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pH meters).
Manage inventory and labeling of chemicals, glassware, and gas cylinders.
Executed routine histology and microtomy procedures utilizing instruments such as rotary microtomes, cryostats, paraffin embedding systems, tissue processors, and automated slide stainers.
Sample Management
Receive and check in samples using manual or electronic tracking systems.
Assign proper storage locations and maintain accurate storage records.
Complete and maintain all paperwork associated with sample deliveries.
Prepare, secure, and package samples for shipment; document contents for manifests.
Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to schedule and stage outbound items.
Material Management - Human Biological Samples (HBS)
Handle Human Biological Samples in accordance with biosafety protocols, privacy standards, and ethical guidelines.
Label and accession HBS into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Manage HBS disposal following established processes.
Operate and maintain HBS storage systems, including -80C freezers, -180C liquid nitrogen freezers, and ambient storage cabinets.
Maintain documentation, tracking, and inventory accuracy related to HBS and associated storage equipment.

We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join our EP Cath Lab Team at MercyOne Genesis in Davenport, Iowa!
Schedule:
M-F, first shift hours--40 hours per pay period
Call one night per week and every 4th-6th weekend
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care activities in the Cath Lab & other applicable procedural areas implementing an outcome-based plan of care
- Identifies learning needs and implements a plan for the patient, conducts patient and family teaching and documents teaching done
- Appropriately uses equipment required to perform Cath Lab procedures
- Understands varying treatment needs and approaches for patients across the life span, as appropriate to the department
- Performs independently in the role of scrub tech, circulator, and hemodynamic monitor and obtains data collection with physiologic calculations specific to the procedure performed and documents
- Initiates BLS/ACLS protocols as appropriate in cardiac emergencies
- Provides care utilizing critical thinking skills based on patients' needs and acuity, and is consistent with policies and procedures of the department
- Coordinates and provides care with a team approach

- Facilitates medication administration, initiates and manages IV therapy

Summary:
Is trained to perform processing blood and other body fluids, sendouts, and other tests as required. Obtains blood samples from the correct patient, ensuring that the blood is properly drawn and labeled following established procedures to assure the proper specimen for the requested testing. Is trained to become competent at venipunctures and skin punctures. May register and interview patients, obtaining accurate demographic and financial information. May be required to verify medical necessity for all Medicare patients.
Responsibilities:
- Performs daily phlebotomy procedures and tests on a fluctuating work schedule. Obtains an adequate specimen on all patients, including correct timed specimens when indicated.
- Observes established personnel policies, OSHA requirements, and lab procedures to ensure safe practice.
- Assures proper identification of patient and specimens in accordance with established laboratory identification procedures, and cares for patients promptly and courteously.
- Maintains integrity of specimens while processing specimens. Assures correct identification of specimens and distributes specimens to the proper department or correct reference laboratory.
- Plates and smears to appropriate media all specimens received for culturing. Processes microbiology specimens when assigned.
- Processes sendout testing when necessary.
- Answer Pneumatic tube system at all times.
- . Assists in orienting of new personnel as directed by the lead tech or lab director.
- Continuously practices universal precautions. Follows all hospital, section, and safety policies and procedures.
- Is trained in the following skills: Age specific criteria for all age groups, fingersticks, heel sticks, venipuncture, blood cultures, syringe collections and the use of butterflies.
- Registers and interviews patients, obtaining accurate demographic financial information.
- Performs therapeutic phlebotomies.
- Stock drawing stations and outpatient rest rooms. Maintain phlebotomy area, trays area in orderly and useable condition. Maintains a system of inventory control of assigned areas. Assumes responsibility for neatness and cleanliness of patient area.
- Follows hospital safety policy including wearing gloves while performing phlebotomy and utilizes only safeguard needles and syringes. Follows needlestick policy in the event of needlestick or mucous membrane exposure.
- Contacts patients or nursing stations for additional specimens, if necessary.
- Performs daily clerical duties which may include entering results into computer, receiving specimens, answering the telephone, printing logs, looking up results, monitoring label printing, problem solving and assisting office personnel as needed.
- Reports to CLS, CLT, or Supervisor any irregularities encountered in performing daily workload
- Maintains a clean work area
