- Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier parts at the service location to ensure compliance with quality standards, specification, and material flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement supplier quality performance objectives.
- Recommend initiatives, including process improvements and corrective action plans, to drive product quality, reliability, and cost reductions.
- Rapidly identify, isolate, communicate and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of customer quality issues.

Under the direction of the Safety Manager, performs all duties and responsibilities to ensure employees' safety in following the workplace safety guidelines. This position works closely with Project Managers, Field Manpower, and Foremen to ensure all in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards and it's heavily focused on specific safety practices and health programs. It also requires travel to branch office locations, jobsites and customer facilities.
Job responsibilities and duties
- Traveling to jobsites up to 80% of the working week, locations determined in coordination with Operations staff and Safety Manager.
- Aids in training employees in workplace safety guidelines.
- Coordinates accident investigations and reporting for the company.
- Investigates and corrects specific safety violations on job sites.
- Conducts and documents employee safety observations, Company property and construction site inspections, and periodic Company vehicle safety inspections.
- Works directly with Project Managers and Field Personnel to address safety concerns.
- Ensures adequate PPE levels for project/site locations.
- Determines all needed PPE and training for workers as needed.
- Develops and conducts site specific toolbox talks and daily safety plans.
- Drives and promotes zero incidents through EHS culture.
- Helps to ensure the company's compliance with local, state and federal workplace environmental health and safety regulations.
- Participates in Safety Committee meetings.
Qualifications

Assists the Extrusion manager in overall operation of Extrusion Department.

Monitors production orders to ensure they are inputted timely and accurately by the lead of each shift.

Monitors and orders supplies as needed for the extrusion department, including oil and caustic, and removal of both.

Holds shifts accountable for scheduled cleanings and p.m.’s 5.
Manages manpower during scheduled overtime, vacations, illness, etc.

Serves as backup to Extrusion Manager.
7.
Serves as on-call for breakdowns; determines when to send crews home or assign other duties that can be accomplished while press is down.
8.
Orients, trains, and instructs new employees.
9.
Supervises extrusion line employees; conducts performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.

Determines order of production at press.
11.
Monitors daily production of each shift (lbs., recovery, etc.), emails daily production report to managers and updates Kermit daily.

Help extrusion manager define and track KPI’s for department.
13.
Controls flow of material through line to insure maximum recovery.

Checks and inspects material for correct dimensions per the AFCO approved drawing and advises die shop when corrections are required, or descriptions noted.
15.
Maintains production records and quality control checklists.
16.
Ensures all extrusions are handled and processed correctly.
17.
Informs maintenance of any press or handling equipment functions which are not normal.
18.
Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
Ensure extrusions meet part print tolerances.
19.
Insures good housekeeping in work area.
