The Position:

The Outside Sales Representative is a dynamic and results-driven individual. Leveraging strong communication skills, market knowledge, and a customer-centric approach, the Outside Sales Rep is dedicated to cultivating new business relationships, nurturing existing accounts, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This position contributes to company growth and success while adhering to all regulatory and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

1.      Prospects and promotes commercial waste removal, disposal, and recycling solutions.

2.      Creates comprehensive bids, compiles weekly call reports, and engages with both new and established clients.

3.      Interfaces with a diverse clientele, including non-profit organizations, business associations, and participation in industry trade shows.

4.      Builds and curates a strategic account list targeting prospects in the greater Houston area.

5.      Demonstrates expertise in crafting and delivering compelling sales presentations to major clients.

6.      Safeguards awareness of the competitive landscape within the waste removal industry.

7.     Tracks contract expiration dates, documents, addresses customer concerns, and collaborates cross-functionally to fulfill service requests.

8.      Manages the processing and response to all eligible bids/RFPs from potential national clients.

9.      Ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies.

10. Maintains a high standard of professionalism in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.

11.    Fulfills any additional duties and responsibilities as directed by Gainsborough Waste / Texas Outhouse management.

12. All other duties as assigned. 

Are you a fit?

·        3 or more years of outside sales experience preferred.

·        Business to business experience required.

·        Solid waste industry experience or knowledge (such as roll-off dumpsters and/or portable toilet restrooms) is a plus.

. Proficient with computer systems, such as Microsoft Office.

·        High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
