The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in North Texas. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the integration, testing, and verification of advanced hardware and software systems. You will ensure our products meet customer requirements and perform to expectations, from initial development through deployment and post-deployment support. What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to develop test procedures and

• Perform calibration and operation of phased array antennas within a laboratory test‑range environment.
• Support testing, validation, and integration activities for phased array antenna systems, RF sensor, and EW systems.
• Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate ES/EA system performance and inform design decisions.
• Create and execute test plans and procedures, evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in preparation for final system sell-off to the customer.
• Support production, system deployment, and post-deployment activities, ensuring product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate across hardware and software disciplines to identify and implement solutions to complex system challenges.
• Engage in Digital Transformation (DTx) efforts, leveraging methods and enabling technologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development practices.
• Work alongside teams of engineers to support integration and testing efforts, ensuring seamless functionality of system components.
• Utilize laboratory equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital voltmeters.
• Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 20%. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience.
• Diagnose and resolve electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues.
• Modeling and simulation for Electronic Warfare (EW) or radar systems.
• Experience with calibrating, operating, and supporting the integration of phased‑array or RF sensor systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active DoD clearance with investigation within five years.
• Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
• Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).

Lifecycle Engineering is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following engineering disciplines:  Reliability, System Safety and Supportability. We are looking for a Principal Reliability Engineer to join our team located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement reliability strategy across multiple product phases including development, production and sustainment.
• Support and/or lead a reliability engineering team consisting of varying levels of experience.
• Lead analysis efforts supporting system design with respect to Product Reliability, Maintainability, and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action.
• Lead in reliability disciplines including FMECA, Predictions, Derating, ESS and ALT.
• Coach other Reliability engineers and work with functional leadership in identifying and implementing Reliability engineering development.
• Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with reliability requirements, analyses and/or test methodology development.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with FMECA, Reliability Predictions, ESS, Derating, FRACA.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Customer focus and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office tools, and experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material.
• Ability to review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards with the ability to identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.

The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team within the Specialty Engineering Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrating state of the art software solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  TEE products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system products. This position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.

The selected candidate will contribute to multidiscipline engineering teams. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems. As such, the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of product development for RMD weapon system products. What You Will Do:

• Responsible for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from conception to manufacturing

• Creation of the PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Schematic drawings for suppliers

• Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation

• Utilize software such as Siemens: Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies: BluePrint-PCB

• Design layouts include Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies

• Work designs to include full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline

• Daily interface with various engineering levels along with different engineering disciplines including, but not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured, keeping cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:

  • Experience with PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles that affect circuitry and component layout with RF specific layout techniques

  • Experience with the electrical design process including RF layout

  • Experience with laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards

  • Experience with multi-layer board design

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Working knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, specific experience with RF, Power, and mixed technology, including multi-layer designs with High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology

• Technical PCB design skills using the Siemens design toolset including, but not limited to the Xpedition Layout tool suite with working knowledge of schematic capture, placement, routing, use of the auto-router, constraint manager, and library tools, and use of BluePrint to create complex PCB and CCA drawings, Altium is not used, but transfers over well to the Siemens toolset

• Export manufacturing data in both Gerber and ODB++ formats

• Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, other Design Rule Checking software

• Able to understand and interpret drawings as they relate to PCB’s and CCA’s

• Familiarity with IPC 6012 & IPC 6013

• Working knowledge of military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and overall producibility considerations related to electronic packaging

• Knowledge of RF circuitry and key care abouts when it come to laying out the board along with filter knowledge

• Working knowledge of operating system concepts and implementations, network services as related to Microsoft Windows suites

• Willingness to work extended hours (nights and/or weekends) as required to complete assigned tasking
