Department Information
The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. Job Summary
Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory to include performing analyses; setup, operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Position description
Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach DSUS courses should an opening arise. About DSUS
Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) offers a range of academic, co-curricular, and enrichment programs-including the Data Science major and minor-with a wide-reaching impact both across UC Berkeley and beyond.
Designed in collaboration with faculty from across Berkeley, Data Science invests students with deep technical knowledge, expertise in how to apply that knowledge in a field of their choosing, and an understanding of the social and human contexts and ethical implications of how data are collected, analyzed, and used. This combination positions graduates to help inform and develop solutions to a range of pressing challenges, from adapting industry to a new world of data to amplifying learning in education to helping communities recover from disaster.

Responsibilities
DSUS is seeking outstanding instructors to be appointed in the non-Senate Lecturer title series who can teach small and large courses in several areas. We are particularly interested in instructors who can combine computational and inferential thinking in a way that reflects the new field of Data Science Education.

Course design and syllabus will leverage the sequence of computational and statistical techniques that students learn in the Foundations course.
Teaching a Data Science course may include holding office hours, assign grades, advise students, prepare course materials (e.g., syllabus), provide clear and prompt feedback on student work, and maintain the course website.

Position description
The Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Program (ISSP) is the administrative unit that oversees the interdisciplinary majors, minors and graduate programs within the Social Sciences Division of the College of Letters and Sciences at UC Berkeley.
Housed in ISSP, the Master of Computational Social Science (MaCSS) is a new one-year professional master's program that will provide students with practical skills for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing social data. Social data are data about people, groups, organizations, and their interactions from surveys and censuses, company websites, store loyalty cards, cell-phone records, social media posts, internet searches, etc. MaCSS graduates will be able to work as analysts and data specialists in business, non-profit, and government settings.

Summer Sessions, in partnership with UC Berkeley's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (EECS), invites applications for a pool of qualified, dynamic instructors with a commitment to Pre-College education in Computer Science, Programming, and Data Science to teach high school students (grades 10-12) in our Berkeley Summer Computer Science Academy. Configuring and maintenance of bridge system for conferencing. Manage and coordinate calendars and scheduling tools for Camp Grayling DLC. Conduct inventory and document hand receipts for all incoming and outgoing equipment. Coordinate staff support of all equipment for end users. Maintain data to support metric requirements provided to National Guard Bureau program management. Schedule and coordinate all audio and video conferences with owned locations and distant locations throughout the world. Prepare rooms for scheduled video or audio conferences. The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The Opportunity:
UCF Information Technology (UCF IT) is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer I to join the Infrastructure team and apply technical expertise to maintain UCF's cloud computing environment. The Cloud Computing Engineer I will support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, VMware, and Google Cloud, with a focus on software-defined networking and zero-trust architectures.
The Cloud Computing Engineer I will follow documentation and best practices, consult with internal customers on new projects and implementations, and collaborate with multiple teams and departments during new Azure cloud initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Respond to service requests and incidents related to Azure cloud infrastructure. Fulfill routine infrastructure requests including virtual machine provisioning, storage allocation, and network configurations. Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to senior engineers as appropriate.
Perform routine infrastructure builds and deployments in Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other cloud resources. Follow established templates, runbooks, and best practices to ensure consistent and secure deployments across environments.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools. Build and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators. Alert appropriate teams when thresholds are exceeded or anomalies are detected.
Use and help maintain script repositories for common Azure functions using PowerShell, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code tools. Execute automation scripts for routine tasks, contribute to script improvements, and document procedures for team use.
Adhere to UCF Infrastructure ITIL processes, such as request and change management procedures, ensuring all planned changes are properly reviewed, documented, and communicated. Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure smooth implementation of changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, standards, and operational guidelines. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives by creating and updating technical documentation in the team wiki and knowledge base.
