Position Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager.

The Rooms Coordinator is a key member of the Front Desk team at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. This position is responsible for room blocking and allocation in alignment with established resort guidelines to maximize room readiness and honor Guest requests.

This role collaborates closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping partners to develop and execute daily strategies that ensure the timely availability of clean, ready rooms for arriving Guests. The Rooms Coordinator supports overall operational efficiency and contributes to a seamless, exceptional arrival experience.

The resort is open seven days a week, candidates must be available days, evenings and weekends.
The starting rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities :
  • Partner with peers and leaders to use all available information to develop plans ensuring clean rooms are available upon Guest arrival
  • Communicate and update room strategy throughout the day with leaders and peers
  • Coordinate expedited room requests, room changes, and early departures
  • Monitor assignment and completion of VIP, PM, and General Clean rooms
  • Collaborate with other Rooms Coordinators to ensure the best possible room is ready for each arriving Guest, regardless of arrival time
  • Minimize Guest wait times, reduce room changes, and help prevent issues that may lead to dissatisfaction
  • Provide clear and consistent communication between all Rooms Coordinators
  • Monitor check‑in status throughout the day
  • Answer phone calls from both Guests and Housekeepers
  • Communicate Rush rooms to Housekeeping Leads
  • Ensure Housekeeping boards are cleared at the end of day


Basic Qualifications :
Here is what you will need to be successful in the job:
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Prolonged standing for up to three hours at a time and some heavy lifting may be required
  • This is a Full-time position that requires you to be fully available.
  • You will also be required to be fully available on national/state holidays.

It would be helpful if you also had:
  • Ability to speak a language other than English
