The Anatomy Lab Technician within the Department of Simulation Education collaborates with the Anatomy Lab Supervisor to support the day-to-day maintenance of the laboratories used for professional education of Creighton University learners and ensures that the lab is set up to offer a positive, effective learning experience. Responsibilities include care of human cadavers, the laboratories, teaching instruments, equipment, and supplies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Cadavers are preserved with formaldehyde, must be able to handle malodorous conditions. This position is very active and requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, throughout the day. This position will also assist students and faculty with laboratory safety and will be present during scheduled laboratory meetings and practicals. This position also prepares cadavers prior to scheduled laboratory meetings and practicals as well as receive and return the cadavers from outside agencies.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Validation Scientist position encompasses all areas of Technical Services with primary focus on technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization, process/packaging validation, commercial production technical support as well as equipment qualification and cleaning validation support.
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and execute projects such as technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization process/packaging validation as well as equipment qualification and cleaning validation support to meet critical project deadlines.
- Provide technical support in the investigation of manufacturing incidents and major deviations. Assure thoroughness of investigation and documentation as well as implementation of preventive/corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct commercial production technical support activities such as qualification of alternate suppliers of API, excipients and packaging components, equipment change parts, process parameters, yield limits, hold time studies, etc.
- Execute utility and process equipment qualification support activities such as installation, operational and performance qualifications, periodic reviews, investigations, assessments, review change control and non-routine maintenance requests, out of specification calibrations, etc.
- Perform cleaning validation support activities such as execution of cleaning validation and verification studies, hold time studies, investigations, assessments, justifications, maintain cross contamination program, etc.
- Develop and/or execute experimental designs and approaches to resolve technical problems and utilize engineering standards, principles, concepts, equations as well as statistical techniques.
- Prepare and review documents to support projects, such as laboratory notebooks, protocols, reports, assessments, justifications, investigation reports, regulatory submissions, master batch records, change control, etc.

- Represent Technical Services at project team meetings and provide sound technical advice.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, Chemistry or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years experience in Technical Services, Process Engineering, Process Validation, Formulation or related field in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in laboratory and production scale manufacture of solid oral, liquid and semi-solid dosage forms using equipment such as comminuting mills, high-shear granulators, fluid bed dryers, blenders, tablet presses, tablet film coaters, encapsulates, low and high-shear mixing vessels, homogenizers, pumps, packaging, etc.
- Working knowledge of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, SUPAC guidance, and general compliance expectations.
- Working knowledge of investigational techniques, including but not limited to root cause analysis, risk assessment impact evaluation, and technical report writing.
- Must possess research and problem solving abilities and be capable of producing detailed documentation, understand and make generalized and specific conclusions from project data.

This role performs complex engineering tasks, provides technical judgment, and integrates structural, thermal, and rotordynamic considerations into robust subsystem designs.
Senior Engineers take ownership of major work packages and may lead projects, coordinating engineering activities across teams.
They also mentor early-career engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Advanced Engineering and Technical Leadership Execute engineering analysis and design of increasingly challenging assignments with only high-level oversight by more senior engineers as part of the engineering and design process, with the ability to independently identify and deliver the appropriate deliverable for a given technical task efficiently Performs challenging calculations involving heat transfer, structural and rotating component stress analysis, aero/hydrodynamics, cycle analysis, component sizing, etc.
Coordinates component and/or rig testing, prepares results and suggests conclusions.
Reviews designs and drawings to ensure they conform to project specifications and requirements.
Completes challenging analysis using FEA, CFD, hand calculations, or other engineering methods with only high-level oversight by more senior engineers.
Drives problem resolution and tool improvement through working with project and cross functional teams.
Proven ability to lead and support testing, validation, qualification, and acceptance activities to ensure products meet or exceed all technical and customer requirements.

Project Leadership and Cross-Functional Integration Ability to guide project team through the technical execution of clean-sheet turbomachinery efforts in close collaboration with senior engineering leadership.
Assist in or lead project activities working cross-functionally, creating and maintaining project budgets, schedules, risk management, requirements management, and the design review process, including customer meetings and communication.
Prepare and present design documentation, analysis reports, and review materials.
Additional responsibilities may include component test support and data analysis, design tool verification and documentation, design guideline creation, management and customer presentations, design review support, and more.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Act as the technical interface within assigned projects between customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
Mentor less experienced engineers providing technical coaching and review.
Contribute to the development of engineering standards, methods, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities listed: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in product design and development.
Experience performing engineering calculations and analyses (stress, thermal, vibration, etc.).
Demonstrated expertise in one or more analysis areas (FEA, thermal, bearings, rotordynamics, etc.) Proficiency with FEA and/or CFD tools (ANSYS, CFX, or equivalent).
Proven ability to own subsystem-level engineering tasks through completion.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to present technical material to internal and external customers and mixed audiences.
Ability to serve as technical lead or project lead on engineering work packages.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Deep technical expertise in areas such as Rotordynamics, heat transfer, bearings, seals, or structural design.
Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams or subsystem-level projects.
Hands-on experience with prototype builds, hardware testing, and data correlation with analysis.
Familiarity with turbomachinery system integration, including aero/hydro, manufacturing, and test methods.
Active professional licensure (PE) or advanced certifications in mechanical engineering disciplines.
Experience with turbomachinery, rotating machinery, or high-speed mechanical systems.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and advanced drafting.
Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
Experience coordinating tasks across multiple engineering and cross-functional disciplines.
Demonstrated mentorship of less-experienced engineers.

Capacity Management and Operations is a new team supporting multiple internal Client organizations. We manage their Capacity Management process, improving it where necessary, and provide operational support for the work pipeline. Our engineers help resolve capacity regression cases which save the Client millions in data center running costs per year. We also enable the most cutting edge work by aligning the demand and supply for critical infrastructure.
Quick learning is the most critical part of this job. Each internal Client org is different, most of them are using custom tools and have different needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cross-functional capacity management or operations, but must be open to navigate a steep learning curve. Experience with automation, scripting and coding will be a great asset. Good communication is a must.
Key tasks
- Maintain consistent communication with key stakeholders in each Client org to manage their current and future needs
- Act as the owner of and actively develop the Capacity Management framework
- Collaborate cross-functionally on a daily basis with stakeholders from multiple Client orgs

Under the direction of the General Counsel within the Office of Victim Services (OVS) the temporary Senior Attorney, SG-25, will be responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Reviewing victim compensation investigation eligibility determinations and responding to legal questions from OVS victim compensation investigators
- Researching and developing agency materials in collaboration with other OVS units, including but not limited to:
- Guidance for OVS victim compensation investigators
- Guidance for OVS grant unit staff
- Legal memoranda
- Supporting the research, drafting, and negotiation of legislative proposals in collaboration with General Counsel and other OVS units as needed
- Collaborating with other Senior Attorney to prepare agency response and work with the Attorney Generalβs Office (AG) to secure injunctions on behalf of crime victims/surviving family members and other legal matters related to the stateβs enforcement of the βSon of Samβ law [Exec law, Β§632-a], including:
- Identifying qualifying crimes,
- Identifying potential victims/surviving family members and notifying them, and
- Vacating injunctions.
- Collaborating with other Senior Attorney, as needed, to evaluate victim compensation appeal requests, make recommendations related to reopening victim compensation claims, prepare victim compensation file summaries, and prepare administrative appeal determinations.
- Reviewing document disclosure requests, reviewing documents for necessary redaction, and preparing privilege logs when necessary.
