Job Summary
Guides the day-to-day activities for a team that ensures electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic servicing and efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds. Key Responsibilities

* Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors and/or supervisors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful delivery of team goals. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces and contributes to the development of systems, policies, and procedures.

* Prepares daily budget report for cost center. Maintains budgets in assigned department(s).

* Inspects jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained, including daily releases from supply. Ensures adequate time is dedicated to the Safety Accountability Process and the Maintenance accountability Program.

ABOUT THE ROLE

SoftLite Windows and Doors part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support equipment uptime and facility operations in our fast-paced vinyl windows and doors manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and learning industrial maintenance skills.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist with preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
  • Perform routine inspections on machinery and facility systems
  • Learn to read and understand simple blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and line adjustments
  • Support general facility maintenance, such as minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
