- Completes various forms and department paperwork. Follows all department operational procedures.
- Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED required.
- Vocational / technical training in Vocational Training: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry or related work preferred.
- At least 2 years of maintenance or relevant work experience required.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques; proper maintenance techniques, requirements, and use of equipment; Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on all production equipment, buildings, and grounds. Use knowledge and skill to produce equipment and modify existing equipment to meet the needs of the production teams. Perform the necessary work with a minimum of direct supervision to identify and solve problems. Use communication skills to keep Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers and fellow team members informed of their progress. Performs other tasks as assigned by management. Position Overview

$42,002.00 - $75,602.00 This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. * Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
* Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
* Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor.
* Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
* Meets Six Flag's attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flag's attendance policies.
* Adheres to Six Flag's code of conduct including costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employees' Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Strong knowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks used in real-time industrial applications. Strong proficiency in developing and reading one-line diagrams, and technical documents. Proficient at maintaining various rides and attractions. Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
License or Certification : Must meet location-specific requirements to work on specific rides and attractions. State or provincial certifications and/or licensing within if applicable in state. Valid driver's license. Welding certification preferred.
Experience : Typically requires 4-6 years mechanical maintenance experience, including at least 2 years working on rides.
Equivalency : Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

What will you do?
- Paint, hang, and repair drywall as needed, and install shelves, hooks, and closet rods
- Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, open clogged drains, and repair leaks
- Perform lawn maintenance, including mowing and removing weeds
- Ensure tools and equipment are in working order, and keep the maintenance room in neat condition
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies
- Operate company vehicles for transportation across the property as needed
More about you
- Must be at least 18 years old
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in general maintenance and repair required
- Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physical requirements
- Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking 100% of the time
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
