This role will require the Psychiatrist to be onsite at the Corrections Facility located in Richmond, Tx to visit M-F.
This role will require them work in a TDCJ inpatient facility spending each day providing direct psychiatric care to incarcerated patients in a secure clinical environment.
The day typically begins with reviewing overnight reports, nursing notes, and any acute behavioral or medical alerts before entering the inpatient unit.
Daily rounds follow, where the psychiatrist evaluates assigned patients, conducts psychiatric assessments, and performs physical or neurological examinations when needed.
