Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Process Mechanic is to maximize equipment availability for processing by safely maintaining equipment through, Preventive and Corrective maintenance and repairs. In support of these activities, Process Maintenance provides personnel 24/hours/day, 7 days per week for maintenance, discrepancy response, contractor oversight, vendor resource management, project support and training. All Process Mechanics are trained to perform routine maintenance in the primary manufacturing support areas and Materials Management, Quality Control Labs, and Utility Operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Repair and repetitive maintenance of valves, centrifuges, pumps, autoclaves, washers, tanks, and associated piping.
  • Exhibit detail-oriented documentation skills to ensure Right-First-Time operations.
  • Escalate process issues as necessary to ensure resolution of issue.
  • Comply with cGMP, SOP and manufacturing documentation.
  • Timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation -according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies.
  • Safe operation of tools and shop equipment, and safe execution of work in the field.
  • Computer skill level appropriate to navigate and use corporate intranet and related applications, CMMS, and standard word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Cross functional interaction with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, Engineering, and other departments to ensure satisfactory performance of equipment and systems.
  • Assistance with systems start-up and validation.
  • Collection and organization of technical data from equipment manufacturers, equipment users, and engineering personnel.
  • Assistance with identification, Purchase and organization of spare parts.
  • Train other mechanics in group and individual settings.
  • Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings. (P&ID)
  • Evaluate, review Standard Operating Procedures content and red line where appropriate.
  • Comply with all Lock out tag out policies.
  • Perform confined space entries.
  • Work at heights to access valves and lock out points.
  • Rebuild pumps, valves, bearing assemblies, and mechanical seals.
  • Perform safety inspections of rigging and fall protection equipment.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of industrial process maintenance and systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodations.
  • Valid driver's license.

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare parts, operate equipment and processes for the application of Thermal Spray on component parts. The process can be manual and include automation, combined with multiple varying parameters to produce specific thermal coating structures.


 


How You'll Make an Impact


* Operate controls to activate robots and apply gases/powders for coating structures that meet specifications, while also preparing and post-processing components for Thermal Spray.


* Utilize surface preparation equipment and perform manual tasks such as masking, part conditioning, and blending as needed.


* Maintain equipment functionality by adding media/powder, checking barrels, changing nozzles/hoses, and ensuring proper fluid levels and alignment.


* Interpret technical documents (drawings, blueprints, specifications) to determine necessary tools for operations and ensure compliance with Siemens standards.


* Load/unload parts using authorized material handling devices and assist with crane operations, while maintaining detailed records and adhering to quality checks.


* Maintain a clean work area through preventative maintenance, proper storage of tools, and assist co-workers as needed, adapting to shifting priorities and team dynamics.


 


What you Bring


* Operation and knowledge of the following is required


* Preparation of components including masking, surface protection of surfaces from overspray, operation of Surface Preparation machines and post processing of residual overspray and surface finish.


* Operation and control Robotics, including toolpath of robots and flow control of gas fuels. Adjustments to programs and gas flows to control desired Thermal Spray results.


* 2-4 years of CNC experience operating robotics and auxiliary equipment.


* HS Diploma or GED Requited


* Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.

* Successful applicants must pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests. Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status required
