Objectives of this role


A Associate, Synthetics Sewing is responsible for sewing web slings used in overhead lifting applications. Your primary focus will be operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality and durable web slings.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to sew web slings for overhead lifting purposes.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or other specifications to determine the sewing requirements.
  • Prepare materials, including cutting fabric, straps, and other components, as per the provided measurements.
  • Set up sewing machines, ensuring proper tension, stitch length, and thread alignment for each sewing project.
  • Inspect finished products for defects or irregularities, ensuring they meet the quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and changing needles, to ensure smooth operation.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor for timely resolution.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Expertise in fabricating various types of slings (nylon, polyester, wire rope), wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, sling protection solutions, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
  • Strong understanding of materials used in lifting and rigging applications and their respective properties.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting and rigging.
  • Ability to operate industrial sewing machine and tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Turbine Mechanic (4 - 10's) to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. This position is responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and mechanical operations on a variety of steam turbine spindles, casings, and valves where methods are standardized and prescribed. Work from assembly drawings and specifications to do skilled fitting, aligning, and adjusting along with some secondary machining. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.

Essential Duties

  • Receive and inspect incoming turbine components, take digital pictures of shipping container, cribbing, rigging techniques, and all parts.
  • Measure and record the critical dimensions of the turbine components.
  • Charting of the disassembly of the blades and proper labeling.
  • Perform proper blade straightening and repairs procedures.
  • Perform blade setlliting and stiffener repairs technique.
  • Remove and install seals, disassemble, and assemble valves, and perform blade ring assembly procedures.
  • Repair or rebuild hydrogen seal assemblies and rigging and shipping skid setup.
  • Operate the manual grinding, milling, turning, and sawing machinery as required for installation and final fitting of turbine blade seals, and valves.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

Based upon our business growth, we are looking to hire a Mechanical Assembly at our Warren, OH facility.

Classification and pay rate will be determined by skill level and experience.

Responsibilities: Performs mechanical assembly of large rotating equipment and major mechanicalsub‑assemblies.

Work includes structural components, machined parts, bearing systems, shafts, housings, fasteners, linkages, and other precision mechanical elements.

Requires strong knowledge of heavy‑equipment assembly practices including proper fits, clearances, bearing installation, torquing, alignment, lubrication, and preservation.

Uses hand tools, pneumatic and electric power tools, precision measuring instruments (dial indicators, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges), and specialized fixturing/assembly equipment designed for large‑scale builds.

Works from detailed written instructions, engineering drawings, build packets, blueprints, and mechanical schematics.

Follows established assembly procedures, tolerances, and quality standards.

Proficient in interpreting mechanical assembly drawings, stack‑up dimensions, and alignment requirements.

Performs dimensional checks and records measurements to ensure components meet specification.

Operates cranes, forklifts, and other heavy material‑handling equipment to safely position and assemble large components.

Responsible for proper rigging and safe movement of heavy or irregularly shaped parts.

Performs additional mechanical or assembly duties as assigned by Management to support production schedules and operational requirements.

The Plate Roll Operator is responsible for operating equipment that shapes and forms curves into metal plates or rolls the plate into cylinders while being supported by overhead cranes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining plate rolling machines
  • Operating overhead cranes and rigging
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Monitoring machine cycles and product quality
  • Troubleshooting issues and adjusting the machines to correct any defects
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and operating machinery safely.


Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years' experience operating a plate roll
