We are seeking a motivated and experienced, Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welder to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience and are eager to grow within a structured and supportive environment. You will assist in the welding, fabrication, and assembly of propellant space tank systems and sub-assemblies.



Pay Range: $40 to $60 per hour.



Position Requirements
  • Weld, assemble, and fabricate various propellant space tank systems and sub-assembly components using GTAW (TIG) welding methods

The Maintenance Manager oversees and performs maintenance operations for a liquid bulk terminal. This role involves directing personnel, contractors, and resources to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on tanks, meters, pumps, valves, piping systems, gear reducers, filters, strainers, vehicles, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment essential to terminal operations.


The Maintenance Manager also coordinates the insulation and painting of tanks, piping, handrails, and structural supports; manages the cleaning of tanks; and ensures proper upkeep of maintenance facilities, equipment, and grounds. Additionally, this position participates in spill response, hazardous and non-hazardous material handling, tank cleaning, and other safety- and environmental-related activities.

  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric controls, and installs grounding leads.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
  • Cuts and welds steel structural members.
  • Assist in trouble shooting and electrical debug.
  • Responsible for daily project status report.
  • Provide cost to complete estimates bi-weekly.
  • Log rework at the time of the rework.
  • Participate in "Go fast” and Kaizen events.
  • Keep work areas clean and safe
  • General operation of crane, Hi-Lo, drill press and saws within the manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics and experience in machine tool.
  • Knowledge of electrical tools (i.e. Channel Locks, Sockets, etc.), and Blue Print reading.
  • Knowledge of overhead cranes, Hi-lo, Pallet Jack and other related equipment required to perform the job function.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions in the Manufacturing environment.
  • Active Driver's License

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Manual Machinists set up and operate manual machines to confidently produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Manual Machinists should be familiar with manually controlled machines and benchwork in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment.

Major Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints and follow their instructions
  • Machine parts out of metal
  • Properly and safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
  • Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
  • Must be able to determine the proper tools required to perform given task
  • Operate and utilizes lifting aids as necessary to perform work
  • Use gauges and precision measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
  • Perform daily, regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

Preferred Machining Skills
  • Familiarity with the use of: Heavy Duty Horizontal Lathes, Milling Machines, Horizontal Boring Mills, Vertical Turning Lathes, Planers, Grinders, Drill Presses, Hydraulic Presses, Band Saws, and Portable Tools
  • Turning, Drilling, Tapping, Boring, Honing, Polishing machine processes
  • Large part machining experience preferred (ship propeller shafting, ship steering gear, etc.)
  • In-place machining experience is desired
  • Forklift and Crane experience preferred
