• Perform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using the following processes:
  • SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
  • GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
  • FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding)

• Conduct heating operations using Oxygen/Propane heating torch.
• Perform Air Carbon Arc Gouging as required.
• Accurately utilize fillet and butt weld gauges for inspection.
• Work effectively in physically demanding environments, including shipboard spaces, sub-assemblies, and elevated work areas (ladders, staging, etc.).
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to the shipbuilding industry.

• Minimum of 4 years of Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) or equivalent naval shipyard experience as a first-class Welder.
• Proficient in multi-pass welding across all positions using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes.
• Experience with Oxygen/Propane heating operations.
• Familiarity with OSHA shipbuilding safety standards.
• Air Carbon Arc Gouging proficiency.
• Ability to properly utilize welding gauges for quality inspections.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and elevated work areas.
• Required to pass all-position, multi-pass butt weld qualification tests prior to start, including:

As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category-specific contract coverage and compliance, managing a portfolio of contracts covering medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and purchasing services with a focus on “best value” and Total Cost of Ownership.

Candidates MUST reside in Northern California or be open to relocating to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure policies are followed across the organization through education to hospital departments and coordination with Finance, Compliance, Office of General Counsel, and Risk Management.
