Construction Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a driven Project Manager to take ownership of a full-cycle construction project from early planning through final closeout. This role is hands-on and field-focused, requiring someone who can confidently lead operations while navigating complex public-sector requirements.
- Oversee daily construction activities from pre-construction through project completion, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and on-site execution
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, and multiple public agencies to keep the project moving efficiently
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable building codes, permitting requirements, and environmental regulations
- Manage procurement processes, submittals, RFIs, and documentation to maintain project flow and accountability
- Maintain and update project schedules using industry-standard tools, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
- Track budgets, review and approve change orders, and provide accurate progress reporting to stakeholders
- Lead job site safety efforts, enforce compliance standards, and promote a culture of accountability
- Coordinate quality control and ensure all deliverables meet established project and regulatory standards
Requirements:
We’re looking for a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and understands the demands of public-sector projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
- 7–10 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong focus on vertical builds
- At least 3 years of experience managing public works projects
- Proven experience working with government agencies and navigating multi-agency coordination
- Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and environmental compliance standards
- Proficiency with project management and construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or Bluebeam
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required
- PMP or CCM certification is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to solve problems in the field, manage competing priorities, and keep teams aligned
